GROUP/DIVISION SUMMARY
The Drug Product Division - North America (DPD-NA) is one of the five divisions that make up the Pharma Services Group. We are made up of approximately 4400 colleagues across six sites who specialize in taking sterile injectable and oral solid dose drug products from development to commercialization.
POSITION SUMMARY
Leads multiple, large volume and/or complex customer project(s) and related project team activities in all capacities. Serves as the primary contact for both internal and external customers, working closely with the Business Manager to support new initiatives and coordinate contract amendments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads organizational change; developing and inspiring assigned staff, cultivating relationships, driving engagement and creating a climate where staff are motivated to do their best.
- Leads the project(s) and project teams ensuring all required activities occur as planned or are reviewed and agreed to by the customer. Coordinates scheduling of activities to meet customer demands and apply expertise and experience to resolve issues.
- Maintains close contact with the client representative(s) through meetings, site visits, teleconferences, and other forums ensuring that issues are addressed and project timeline activities are met.
- Identify potential project risks with the team and develop mitigation strategies, report progress, blocking issues, and risks to all collaborators. Know when to raise issues to senior leadership for resolution.
- Negotiates project differences within the company and with the key customer contacts, ensuring resolutions that are amenable to both parties and/or advising management of potential risks & issues.
- Develop, improve, and implement program and project management tools and templates for use by the program teams
- Encourages support of Highly developed Project Management System throughout the project teams to ensure that vital revenue and resource commitments are identified.
- Plans for future customer activities and solicit other projects that are aligned with the company goals & objectives.
- Prepares and presents project updates to executive and steering committees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in either a scientific or production-related field is required.
- 8+ years of proven experience required in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
- Proven track record of effectively communicating and navigating a diversity of issues.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with others to achieve team goals and expectations.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Requires discretion and independent judgment.
- Outstanding attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter, mature, independent and conscientious.
- Capable of excelling in a fast-paced setting, handling pressure, multitasking effectively, and achieving goals.
- Ability to plan and organize as well as being company and profitability focused.
