Job Summary
At Nextech, measuring the success of our products is key to our outcomes-based approach to product development.  To understand success, we need to have a customer-centric approach to measuring value and standardized models that allow us to analyze holistically across product and markets.
 
As a Senior Product Operations Lead, you will be crucial in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our product development processes, ensuring alignment between product, engineering, marketing, and other key stakeholders. The Senior Product Operations Lead will work closely with a tight-knit team of data and operational experts to optimize workflows and support data-driven decision-making to achieve our product strategy and optimize business outcomes.
 
To be successful, the right candidate must understand the needs of product management, have the ability to think critically about process breakdowns and disconnects, and plan ahead to avoid them.  The candidate is driven to provide their cross-functional partners with the tools and insights they need to create great products and achieve business outcomes.

Essential Functions:

  • Leadership: Be an advocate, coach, and motivator for your team, helping your team develop their skills and operate with focus, efficiency, and best practices.
  • Training & development: Support the training of new team members and ensure the team is equipped with the tools and resources necessary to succeed.
  • Process optimization: Collaborate cross-functionally to document, standardize, and continuously improve product management-specific operational processes.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: For product operations and processes, collaborate between product, engineering, design, marketing, and customer success teams to support understanding, collaboration, and execution.
  • Project management: Manage timelines, resources, and dependencies for product operational projects to ensure on-time and successful product releases.
  • Data analysis and reporting: Define, develop, and monitor key performance metrics related to operational efficiency and product performance insights that are accessible and useful to stakeholders to help them manage the respective area effectively.  Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify opportunities for process improvements and optimize resource allocation.  Present findings to senior leadership and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Financial spend and investment tracking: Track the product investment spend, reporting on variances between the plan, the actuals, and adjusted forecasts.  Provide continual awareness to leaders on status and deviations.
  • Customer insights: Develop and maintain a customer insights framework (inclusive of feedback, product usage, and owned products, etc.) for Product Development and cross-functional teams to draw actionable insights for shaping business and product decisions.
  • Risk management: Identify risks surfaced by product operations and process KPIs, supporting the product development team with mitigation recommendations and progress tracking.

  • Continuous improvement: Identify and leverage appropriate AI capabilities to improve and automate processes.
  • Leverage AI: Promote the usage of AI tools to drive organizational insights and risk visibility.
  • Empower: Guide your team on the use of AI to drive efficiency with day-to-day tasks, potentially eliminating tasks through AI and automation.
  • Product roadmap support: Assist in the planning and prioritization of product initiatives, ensuring product operations and processes align with business goals and objectives.
  • Stakeholder communication: Develop and distribute product-related reports, status updates, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on progress and risks.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Product Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in product operations, product management, or a related field.
  • Deep data analysis, visualization, and presentation experience.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or other programming language.
  • Strong proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and the ability to translate complex data into digestible insights.
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and complex workflows.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to think strategically and translate data into business decisions.
  • Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Google Analytics).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work across teams in a collaborative manner.
  • Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and a passion for data-driven decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of product analytics tools, trends, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with agile software development.
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management tools and platforms.
  • Ability to influence without authority and drive change across diverse teams.
  • Prior experience with healthcare operations is a plus.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • 100% Remote
  • Long-distance or air travel may be necessary.
  • Activities require a significant amount of work desks in front of a computer monitor
