RainFocus, one of the most innovative software companies, is in search of an exceptional Sr. Product Marketing Manager.

About RainFocus:

RainFocus, one of the most innovative software companies in the heart of Utah's Silicon Slopes, is in search of an exceptional Product Marketing Manager.  RainFocus cares about its employees, customers, and the world in which we live. Our rapidly-growing team serves Fortune 500 companies like Cisco, Oracle, Gartner, and VMware to prepare and execute events, each with tens of thousands of attendees, across the world. Those events are delivered through our industry-disrupting software platform, with groundbreaking business intelligence, to elevate the attendee experience, streamline event operations, and accelerate marketing teams. We are well-funded, growing fast, taking on an established industry leader, and building a company that is changing the market—it will be challenging, fun, and exciting.

About the Role:

As Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will own go-to-market strategy for RainFocus's core events platform, the flagship product line our enterprise customers rely on to plan, run, and measure their largest, most complex events. This is a strategic seat, not just an execution one: you will act as a thought partner to product and executive leadership, translating raw platform capabilities into validated, persona-specific use cases and value metrics, not just a list of features. Reporting directly to the Director, Product Marketing and working closely with product, marketing, sales, and customer success leaders, you will have the opportunity to shape a disruptive platform in a hyper-growth business.

Does This Sound Like You?

You see connections between problems, business goals, and solutions that others don't see. You excel in a cross-functional environment, driving collaboration across departments and disciplines to get the best possible outcome. You execute relentlessly and are a force multiplier to others in that execution, and you genuinely enjoy coaching other product marketers rather than just carrying your own workload. You thrive on data and thirst to gather qualitative, quantitative, and anecdotal evidence through active listening.

You are an entrepreneur at heart, willing to take chances, able to lead through influence, and have strong opinions loosely held. You treat AI as more than a productivity trick: you experiment with it constantly, and you're just as interested in designing the systems that help an entire team move faster as you are in speeding up your own drafts. You'd rather build the process nobody asked for than wait for someone to hand you one, and you bring solutions to gaps before anyone assigns you to fix them. You attract attention through your wit, well-constructed arguments, and sense of humor.

You are not above the detailed logistics that need to be managed to make a product successful. You are not intimidated by working with very smart, very driven, and very technical people, and you love learning, unlearning old habits that no longer serve a growing business, and pushing yourself to do even better. You enjoy what you do, and that enjoyment spreads to those you work with.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Own go-to-market strategy for RainFocus's core events platform across the full customer lifecycle, from first evaluation through renewal and expansion, for our largest, most complex enterprise events.

  • Partner directly with product and executive leadership to turn platform capabilities into validated, persona-specific use cases, rather than marketing features in isolation, working from real customer and market evidence instead of assumptions.

  • Define and evolve positioning, messaging, and pricing strategy for the platform, including go or no-go and monetization recommendations for new capability combinations as they're evaluated.

  • Lead planning and business readiness for major company moments tied to the events platform, including RainFocus INSIGHT and Sales Kickoff, in close partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Support the sales enablement asset library for the core platform, keeping messaging, decks, and reference materials current across every major release.

  • Conduct ongoing market, competitive, and customer research on the enterprise event management category, including proactively identifying trends like AI-powered capabilities or new pricing models, and distill it into insights that shape product strategy and roadmap decisions.

  • Own the release and business readiness process end-to-end for new platform capabilities, ensuring marketing, sales, service, and support are all ready before customers see it, and own the full lifecycle of larger, multi-quarter strategic initiatives the same way.

  • Collaborate with others to create compelling content across formats, release communications, presentations, webinars, video, and represent RainFocus as an engaging speaker at customer events, industry conferences, and company-run events.

  • Serve as the source of truth for your product area's GTM plans and competitive research, keeping it current without being reminded, and proactively flag at-risk timelines well before they become a problem.

  • Identify high-leverage opportunities to apply AI across the product marketing function, beyond your own workflow, and build the frameworks and systems that let the broader team operate at a higher velocity, whether that's competitive intelligence at scale or another team-wide bottleneck.

  • Work directly with Fortune 500 event and marketing teams to understand their goals, challenges, and opportunities, and feed that insight back into the product roadmap.

Required Skills and Experience

5-10+ years of highly successful business-to-business software product marketing, or product management with a strong marketing bent.

Direct experience in the event management software market, or a comparable enterprise SaaS category with complex, multi-stakeholder buying groups and large-scale, high-stakes customer deployments.

A track record of building the business case behind a product bet, not just executing against a predefined feature list, including experience partnering with executive leadership on roadmap and monetization decisions.

Proven history of creating and delivering innovative products to market that are backed by business results.

Experience with SaaS companies working in an agile development environment with continuous delivery.

Strong understanding of sales and marketing tactics, dynamics, and processes, along with enterprise service models.

Comfortable owning large-scale, cross-departmental initiatives with minimal day-to-day direction: you surface and solve problems before being asked, rather than waiting to be assigned to them.

A genuine track record of coaching or mentoring other product marketers, with real interest in multiplying a team's output, not just your own.

Hands-on, active experimentation with AI in your own work, ideally with real examples of building a repeatable system or framework, not just using it to speed up a first draft.

Tireless, motivated, confident, and determined, with excellent communication skills, integrity, and judgment.

    MBA or compelling comparable experience.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
