Lingraphica is a mission-driven organization that provides speech-generating devices to help improve communication, speech, and quality of life for people with communication impairments.  We look for candidates who enjoy working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment, and who share our commitment to helping individuals on their communication journey.

Job Description

Purpose: As a Senior Product Manager at Lingraphica, you will lead high-impact, cross-functional product initiatives that shape the future of our AAC device ecosystem. You’ll work as part of an empowered product team, partnering closely with users, Engineering, and Design, and using continuous discovery, strong user-insight practices, and data-informed decision making to solve meaningful problems for people with communication challenges.

This role begins as a senior individual contributor with immediate expectations around mentorship, product craft leadership, and helping strengthen our product operating model. Over time, there may be opportunities to take on formal people leadership responsibilities based on organizational needs, demonstrated readiness, and interest.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for a complex portfolio within our AAC speech-generating device ecosystem.
  • Define clear opportunity areas and measurable outcomes, connecting user needs, clinical insights, and business goals into a cohesive vision.
  • Track and anticipate trends in communication, accessibility, and assistive technology and translate them into actionable product strategy.

Hands-On Product Ownership

  • Serve as the senior product owner and a core member of the product trio (tech lead and product designer), providing clarity, prioritization, and product judgment.
  • Lead initiatives that cross multiple teams, user groups, or platforms (device, therapy, web/portal), ensuring coherence across the ecosystem.
  • Make thoughtful, timely decisions that balance user value, clinical impact, business priorities, technical feasibility, and regulatory considerations.

Continuous Discovery & Evidence-Based Decision Making

  • Help advance Lingraphica’s continuous discovery approach by improving how user insights are gathered, synthesized, and shared across teams.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into clear problem definitions, hypotheses, and prioritized opportunities.
  • Design and evaluate advanced concepts, including AI-driven assistive features, personalized learning experiences, and therapy tools.

Cross-Functional Alignment & Influence

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Clinical, Education & Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring shared understanding across stakeholders.
  • Navigate dependencies with operations, compliance, manufacturing, and service delivery to ensure safe, feasible, and scalable solutions.

Mentorship & Product Craft Leadership

  • Mentor PMs from day one, supporting the development of product craft across discovery, prioritization, communication, and decision-making.
  • Model empowered product team behaviors and help standardize strong product practices across the organization.
  • Partner with the VP of Product to shape and strengthen our product operating model, team rituals, and alignment practices.
  • May take on formal people leadership of one or more Product Managers as the organization grows, based on demonstrated readiness and interest.

Execution & Impact Measurement

  • Translate complex problem spaces into clear hypotheses, user stories, requirements, and iterative product releases.
  • Use product analytics, experimentation results, and qualitative signals to evaluate success, inform trade-offs, and adjust strategy over time.
  • Communicate progress, insights, opportunities, and challenges to leadership and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Speech-Language Pathology, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Product Design) or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8+ years of product management experience, including sustained ownership of complex product areas and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience in healthcare, education technology, accessibility, assistive technology, or other mission-driven domains.
  • Demonstrated success working in empowered product teams with engineering and design partners.
  • Familiarity with Android development, accessibility standards, and designing for users with cognitive, motor, or communication challenges.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring junior PMs or leading cross-team discovery and planning is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong strategic, systems, and product-thinking skills.
  • Deep empathy for users and commitment to inclusive, accessible design.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication abilities; able to influence across levels and functions.
  • Proficiency in Agile development, continuous discovery, hypothesis-driven experimentation, and outcome-based planning.
  • Ability to discuss and evaluate technical decisions, architecture trade-offs, and testing considerations.
