About the Role:

Aura is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of a new product line focused on mobile device security monitoring for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). This role is a unique opportunity to build a zero-to-one SaaS platform that delivers lightweight mobile device management (MDM), security telemetry, and device access policy enforcement—with deep integrations across the Microsoft ecosystem (Entra ID, Intune, Office365), Google Workspace, leading SSO providers (e.g., Okta, JumpCloud), and cutting-edge AI technologies.

As the Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for bringing this vision to life, collaborating with design, engineering, quality assurance, go-to-market teams, and MSP partners. This is a critical product leadership position that requires deep experience in enterprise software/SaaS, cybersecurity, and building for the MSP ecosystem.

If you thrive on building platform products from scratch, understand the unique needs of MSPs, and have a track record of launching scalable enterprise SaaS solutions—this role is for you.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and own the product vision, positioning, and roadmap for Aura’s MDM Security Monitoring platform tailored for MSPs.

  • Lead customer discovery and partner engagement with MSPs to validate pain points and inform product decisions.

  • Drive deep integrations with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune (as a Device Compliance Partner and/or Mobile Threat Detection Partner), Google Workspace, and identity providers like Okta and JumpCloud.

  • Partner with engineering to design scalable, API-first architecture with secure data pipelines and cross-platform mobile telemetry.

  • Establish and evolve lightweight, privacy-first approaches to device monitoring that balance user experience with security enforcement.

  • Collaborate with design and marketing to deliver intuitive, AI-powered admin portals for MSPs and frictionless end-to-end mobile app experiences for end users.

  • Coordinate with Sales and Customer Success to shape packaging, pricing, and onboarding tailored to the MSP channel.

  • Define and monitor product KPIs, drive experimentation, and continuously refine based on data and partner feedback.

  • Serve as the internal champion for MSP personas, educating cross-functional teams and shaping GTM narratives.

  • Stay on top of MDM, endpoint security, and identity ecosystem trends to inform long-term strategy.

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years building enterprise SaaS or security platforms.

  • Proven experience building for or partnering with Managed Service Providers (MSPs).

  • Deep understanding of MDM solutions, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Azure AD, and Google Workspace admin controls.

  • Familiarity with identity providers (SSO/MFA platforms) such as Okta, JumpCloud, OneLogin.

  • Track record of launching technical products from 0→1 with API integrations and multi-tenant architecture.

  • Experience working with security data, device telemetry, or endpoint protection solutions.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills—comfortable influencing across technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, startup-like environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with mobile device management (MDM), endpoint security, or EMM platforms.

  • Experience working in cybersecurity or IT operations software.

  • Background in building platforms designed for multi-tenant environments or channel resellers.

  • Strong familiarity with MSP business models, sales motions, service delivery needs, and tooling (RMM/PSA such as ConnectWise, NinjaOne, HaloPSA and Technology Solutions Distributor marketplaces like Pax8).

  • Technical understanding of public cloud services from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure.

  • Technical degree or background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
