About Us

Yolando is a competitive intelligence and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) platform backed by $8.5M in funding from Drive Capital. We help businesses understand how they appear in AI-generated answers across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity, and take action to improve their visibility. Born out of BirdseyePost, our direct mail platform, Yolando was built by marketers who experienced the AI search shift firsthand. We're based in Toronto and growing fast.

Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Sr. Product Designer to collaborate with our product manager on a freelance basis, creating developer-ready UX and UI designs in Figma. In this role, you will ensure simple, intuitive, user-centric flows and best-in-class interfaces that align with our design system. You will directly impact the success and design of our entire platform, helping us deliver a seamless and delightful experience to our users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with the product manager to design development-ready UX and UI using Figma.

  • Build and maintain design components and systems that are ready for development.

  • Think through logical UX flows, entirely new customer journeys, edge cases, and user scenarios to create intuitive and user-friendly experiences, simplifying complexity.

  • Create beautiful, on-brand UI designs within our established design system, while driving improvements and updates to the design system.

  • Contribute to brand design work, including visual identity, marketing assets, and ensuring brand consistency across product and external-facing materials.

  • Conduct design research to explore innovative solutions and inform design decisions, incorporating best practices from industry research and trends into designs.

  • Meet with developers to explain design details, behaviours, and flows.

What We're Looking For
  • Creative thinker with a proactive attitude, bringing new ideas and solutions to the table.

  • Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work in Figma.

  • Strong expertise in creating development-ready components and understanding design-to-development workflows.

  • Excellent skills in logical UX flow design, thinking through edge cases, and crafting visually appealing UI.

  • Experience with brand design, visual identity systems, and creating cohesive brand experiences across product and marketing.

  • Familiarity with user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design. Experience conducting user and design research to improve product outcomes.

  • Understanding of development complexities associated with design implementation and ensuring designs are feasible.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with attention to detail.

Bonus If You Have
  • Familiarity with automation builders, user design canvases, AI agents, dashboards, and marketing software (email, digital ads, or direct mail platforms).

  • Experience in Framer.

  • Experience in a fast-growing startup environment.

  • Located in Toronto (but we welcome remote applicants).
