The Business Analyst (BA) team within Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services Division (ES) is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Computer Systems Analyst 4. The BA organization is primarily located in Space Park, CA but this role can be executed from any major NG site or remotely with occasional travel. 

The BA team bridges the gap between the business side of operations (day-to-day system users) and the application development teams. The team also manages the Aeronautics Sector’s PMO current and future portfolio of IT projects which includes budgets, schedules, and risk management.

The ideal candidate must be able to effectively communicate technical principles, theories, and concepts as well as develop innovative solutions to technical issues. The candidate must demonstrate customer support skills, be able to work collaboratively in cross functional team settings and be able to complete assignments with minimal management supervision. The role requires the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and to learn new computer applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coalesce, analyze and document user requirements and/or problems to improve existing systems
  • Collaborate with business partners to develop solutions and correct system deficiencies
  • Develop system specifications that address business requirements aligned with system architectures
  • Test solutions to ensure optimal system functionality
  • Monitor integrated system interfaces for errors and resolve as necessary
  • Draft & publish instructional materials and provide system training to end users
  • Represent the organization in providing solutions to complex system issues
  • Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects
  • Work with process owners to ensure optimal system interactions and develop improvements
  • May also have the opportunity for a Project Management role on IT projects

Preferred Sr. Principal Computer Systems Analyst Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in STEM related field with nine (10) years of related and relevant experience, OR a Masters, OR seven (7) years of related experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience executing in CPLM, SAP and MES (or other ERP systems)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience interacting and supporting manufacturing, quality, or supply chain business process.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related Technical Degree
  • Experience in the Aerospace Industry or working on Defense Acquisition programs.
  • Understanding of hardware and software requirements, design, development and testing of system integrations
  • Subject Matter Expertise in manufacturing, MRP, quality, or supply chain business processes
  • Experience working on teams using an agile framework (e.g. scrum, Kanban)
  • Active DoD Secret, TS/SSBI or SCI

Salary Range: $109,900.00 - $164,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
