Position Summary

The Sr Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for planning, execution and optimization of marketing initiatives that support brand visibility, member engagement, and revenue growth for PICPA and CPA Crossings. This role evaluates and refines campaign strategies by translating data and operational experience into actionable improvements. The Sr. Specialist manages multi-channel campaigns, collaborates with internal teams and external vendors, and ensures marketing efforts align with organizational goals.

 

Responsibilities

Campaign Planning and Execution 

  • Owns the operational administration of marketing campaigns for the PICPA and CPA Crossings, and partners with the Marketing Manager to inform optimization and continuous improvement through performance reporting and insights.  
  • Design, execute, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns across email, web, SEO, social media, digital advertising, and print. 
  • Synthesize performance data, operational insight, vendor and stakeholder input to drive improvements in engagement, conversion, and revenue outcomes. 
  • Provide copywriting support for digital, web, print, and social media channels. 

Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination 

  • Serve as a key operational point of contact for third-party vendors, evaluating recommendations, clarifying requirements, and ensuring solutions align with campaign objectives and technical realities. 
  • Collaborate with internal marketing staff, designers, PR partners, sponsors, and external contributors. 
  • Act as a liaison with PR partners to support visibility of PICPA initiatives and staff. 

Data Analysis and Reporting 

  • Analyze campaign performance data to identify patterns, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities, and translate findings into specific execution changes for future campaigns. 
  • Track marketing-related revenue tied to membership, education products, fundraising, and other offerings. 
  • Share insights with Marketing leadership to support planning and optimization. 

Workflow and Documentation 

  • Maintain accurate campaign documentation, timelines, assets, and performance records in Asana, HubSpot, CMS, and related systems to support consistency, scalability, and cross-team understanding. 
  • Support consistent workflows, reporting standards, and cross-promotion efforts across teams. 

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Five to seven years of experience managing digital marketing campaigns; association or professional services experience preferred. 
  • Experience working with vendors and cross-functional teams. 
  • A four year BA or BS degree.

Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools including email platforms, CRM/CMS systems, analytics tools, and project management systems.
  • HTML knowledge required.
  • Experience with HubSpot and Google Ads required.

Skills Requirements

  • ·Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Manages multiple projects concurrently and meets deadlines with minimal supervision. 
  • Works independently, takes ownership of assignments, and prioritizes effectively. 
  • Approaches work proactively, identifying opportunities for improvement. 
  • Thinks strategically while maintaining accuracy in execution. 

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of or ability to develop familiarity with accounting and finance industry trends. 
  • SQL/database experience a plus.

Salary expectations: betwen 70K and 75K

This position reports directly to the Marketing & Communications Manager.
