Job Description

This position is the Sr. Manager of the Semiconductor Procurement team, based in Chicago, IL, responsible for Global Procurement oversight across Motorola's Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and Video, Security & Access Control (VSA) business units.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate cross-functional team leadership, working closely with Product Management, Product Design, Technical and Business Development to achieve results.
  • Provide guidance procurement planning: determining appropriate procurement method, contract preparation, development, award, administration, and termination.
  • Perform market research/analysis to determine availability of the requirement, analyze market trends, commercial practices, conditions and technological advances and determine the sources to be solicited.
  • Develop and Execute cohesive strategies, with focus on developing strategies for current and future supply needs, resiliency, market trends, government regulations, and business environments.
  • Be responsible for leading a team of subject matter experts through operations and supply processes, including forecasting, sourcing, compliance, quality, and contracting.
  • Be responsible for inventing and implementing process improvements, automation, and best practices to support growth and scale with Global reach.
  • Establish and Maintain executive presence across Quality, Finance, Product, and Sales organizations.
  • Advance governance around best practices and procurement policies.
  • Institute procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics.
  • Lead a team of individual contributors.
  • Initiate open and candid coaching conversations at all levels.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
  • 5 plus years of Executive leadership experience.
  • Department managing including recruiting, hiring, and performance management.
  • Global responsibility and vision for Supply Chain and Procurement.
  • Strong managerial and negotiation skills.
  • Industry experience in Electronics Manufacturing or similar, particularly in the Semiconductor space.
  • Leading complex end-to-end RF(x) process.
  • Thriving in a high-energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel.

Must reside in Chicago to be considered for this position.

Target Base Salary Range: $120,300  - $240,600 

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
