What is The Role

The Finance Transformation leader will design, scale, and automate the financial systems and operational processes required to support our Hyperscaler Marketplace business. This role acts as the bridge between Corporate Finance, Sales Operations, and Product Engineering. You will lead initiatives to optimize our quote-to-cash (Q2C) and revenue recognition architecture as we scale private offers and co-sell motions through AWS, GCP, and Azure Marketplaces.

What You Will Be Doing
  • 1. Marketplace Financial System Architecture
    • Architecture & Scalability: Partner with IT and Product Engineering to design and implement scalable workflows that bridge the gap between hyperscaler portals and core finance systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Zuora
    • Automate workflows: Design and implement automated finance workflows to handle complex marketplace transactions, including Private Offers (CPPO/MPPO) and custom metering.
    • Integrate systems: Partner with IT to seamlessly connect Hyperscaler APIs and marketplace management platforms (e.g. Tackle.io) with core finance systems
    • Build data pipelines: Own the financial data model for marketplace transactions, ensuring reliable ingestion of raw billing and disbursement data into reporting warehouses.
    2. Revenue Recognition & Financial Operations
    • Manage compliance: Define financial process standards for deferred revenue, gross-vs-net revenue accounting, and ASC 606 compliance specific to cloud marketplace deductions and listing fees.
    • Streamline reconciliations: Build scalable transaction-level reconciliation models to match hyperscaler disbursements and remittance advices against internal sales contracts.
    • Financial Integrity: Maintain transaction accuracy, ensure marketplace listing fees are accurately tracked, and handle dense, unstructured third-party reseller data
    3. Cross-Functional Program Management
    • Business Model Alignment: Partner with Finance, Product and Partner Operations teams to prepare finance and accounting operations for newly introduced marketplace product offerings
    • Lead change management: Direct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and author Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the finance and accounting teams when launching new marketplace capabilities.
What You Bring
  • Core Finance: 8–10+ years of progressive experience in accounting operations, financial systems, or tech-sector management consulting.
  • Marketplace Exposure: 5+ years of direct experience managing the financial operations, billing infrastructure, or billing reconciliation of apps sold through AWS, GCP, or Azure Marketplaces.
  • Transformation Track Record: Proven experience leading large-scale software integrations or Q2C transformation cycles in a B2B SaaS or enterprise tech environment.
  • Marketplace Tools: Deep familiarity with cloud partner portals (AWS, GCP, Azure) and marketplace monetization middleware (e.g., Tackle.io).
  • ERP & Revenue Systems: Advanced knowledge of enterprise ERP systems and specialized revenue recognition systems (e.g., Zuora RevPro).
  • Data Fluency: Solid proficiency utilizing SQL or Business Intelligence tools to dissect, clear, and transform unstructured billing data
