About the role.
The Senior Manager, Global FP&A (Commercial, R&D, and Marketing) serves as a strategic finance partner to McCain's Global Commercial, R&D, and Marketing organizations. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global FP&A and Commercial, this role transforms financial and operational data into actionable insights that support growth, innovation, investment decisions, and long-term value creation.
As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, this role provides financial leadership across customer proposals, pricing, profitability analysis, innovation business cases, marketing investments, and strategic planning. The successful candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with business acumen, proactively identifying trends, risks, and opportunities and delivering clear recommendations that enable informed decision-making. The role also plays a key part in advancing finance transformation through AI, automation, and data-driven decision support.
What you'll be doing.
  • Analyze global topline performance and profitable growth metrics, providing monthly insights on trends, opportunities, and risks across Commercial activities.
  • Partner with Global and Regional Commercial and Finance teams to support major customer RFPs, pricing proposals, customer commitments, and profitability assessments.
  • Provide Commercial teams with financial insights into manufacturing, raw material, and cost drivers to support pricing, innovation, and commercial decision-making.
  • Track performance by customer, channel, product, and geography to evaluate mix improvement and profitability outcomes.
  • Analyze customer and product profitability using financial models, cost sheets, and data analytics tools to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Partner with Global Marketing to develop and manage investment plans, monitor spending against budget, and evaluate the return on marketing campaigns, launches, and promotional activities.
  • Lead Commercial content for month-end, quarterly, executive, and Board reporting, providing clear analysis of variances, business performance, and key financial drivers.
  • Build, review, challenge, and support business cases for new products, innovation platforms, and strategic investments, including financial return analysis and scenario modeling.
  • Track innovation and platform performance against approved business cases, highlighting variances, root causes, and corrective actions to business leaders.
  • Support the annual operating plan, budgeting, and forecasting processes across Commercial, R&D, and Marketing functions.
  • Partner with Corporate FP&A to align planning, forecasting, and reporting processes where responsibilities overlap.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve reporting efficiency, forecasting accuracy, and decision support capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Data and Analytics teams to automate recurring pricing, profitability, and commercial analyses, enabling greater self-service reporting and higher-value finance support.

What you'll need to be successful.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent) and/or MBA preferred.
  • Seven or more years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, or related finance roles.
  • Experience supporting Commercial, Marketing, R&D, Innovation, or Manufacturing organizations within a complex business environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building, evaluating, and challenging business cases for new products, investments, and growth initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of customer profitability, product profitability, pricing strategies, cost structures, and financial performance drivers.
  • Advanced financial modeling and Microsoft Excel capabilities.
  • Experience with enterprise planning and reporting systems such as SAP, OneStream, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency with analytics and data visualization tools, including Power BI.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting processes.
  • Exposure to AI, process automation, or digital finance transformation initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial information and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

The Global FP&A team partners closely with Commercial, R&D, Marketing, Corporate Finance, business unit leadership, and regional finance teams to support strategic decision-making and profitable growth. The team provides financial planning, performance management, business case evaluation, and investment analysis across McCain's global business.
As a key member of the Global FP&A organization, the Senior Manager collaborates with senior leaders and cross-functional partners worldwide to deliver insight-driven recommendations, improve commercial decision-making, and advance finance transformation initiatives through automation, analytics, and continuous improvement.

Compensation Package : $107,600.00 - $143,500.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility
