As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank's Global Banking Technology team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
  • Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Develop secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Partner with business and operations teams to drive emerging strategies and technologies
  • Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
  • Add to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Anticipate and address the needs of investment banking business users with strong business acumen.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience in Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, Oracle, AWS
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Practical cloud native experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience with cloud technologies, data analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the financial services industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset
