In this role, you will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Operations leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, support rapid growth and scale teams in a high-performance B2B SaaS startup environment. This is a highly visible role that blends strategic advisory with hands-on execution. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HR and have partnered closely with GTM leaders. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy building and influencing success and culture in a startup organization.

This is an individual contributor role that will sit on HYCU’s Global People Team, and report to the Chief People Officer.

Location

  • Boston, MA (Hybrid; 3 days/wk in office)

What You’ll Do:

Strategic Partnership & Org Effectiveness

  • Serve as the primary GTM HR Business Partner for assigned business units globally (Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Sales Operations, Marketing, etc.)
  • Use data (performance trends, attrition, pipeline, comp insights) to guide leaders in org planning, capacity needs, and skills development
  • Support quarterly business reviews with People insights (performance, promotion readiness, talent gaps, retention risks)
  • Coach leaders on decision-making, talent moves and managing performance narratives early (avoid late-stage PIP surprises)
  • Partner with leaders to execute the full Hire-Train-Inspect-Retain cycle: ensuring role clarity, structured onboarding, ongoing enablement, capability assessment, and retention strategies
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on role clarity, responsibilities, and organizational communication to prevent silos across GTM

Performance, Development & Culture

  • Drive performance rhythms: goal setting, quarterly feedback loops, 9-box calibration, role expectations
  • Partner on leadership development initiatives (enablement, coaching, succession planning)
  • Support consistent, high-quality onboarding for new hires and smooth, compliant offboarding processes in partnership with HR Ops, TA, and cross-functional teams
  • Build trust with leadership and influence strong team performance and employee retention
  • Align with GTM leaders, operations, and cross functional teams to keep leaders aligned on roles and responsibleness to remove information silos
  • Ensure consistency of HYCU values (Authenticity, Grit, Empathy) in decisions and leader behaviors

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Handle early ER conversations, documentation, and manager coaching to ensure fairness and reduce escalations
  • Partner with Legal on investigations, discipline, and policy application across countries
  • Ensure PEO, local HR, and global processes align for risk-free execution

Talent & Hiring Partnership

  • Partner with Leadership and Talent Acquisition on headcount needs, hiring plans, and interview calibration
  • Participate in critical hiring for GTM global and US positions. Help drive recruitment, retainment, mentorship, and development of GTM talent
  • Building GTM bench for fast expansion and upleveling talent

What We’re Looking For:

  • 7-10+ years of HRBP/People Partnering experience in SaaS, high-growth, or global technology company
  • Experience supporting GTM/Sales teams is required with strong experience supporting C-Suite and Executive leadership
  • Deep knowledge of Sales team dynamics: including role profiling and leveling, global performance standards and metrics, goal setting, role expectations, and 9-box calibration
  • Strong SaaS business acumen—comfortable with data, organizational planning to support a high-growth GTM organization
  • Demonstrated experience in change management, org design, and manager coaching
  • Proven ability to influence leaders at all levels and build strong business partner relationships
  • Adaptable to a scale-up environment where processes are evolving
  • Excellent communication skills and high levels of integrity, discretion, and judgment to build transparency and trust with global teams
  • Familiarity with HR Systems (BambooHR), new & innovative AI tools is a plus
  • Knowledge of HR compliance, benefits administration, HR policy and employment laws is a plus
  • Start-up SaaS environment experience is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field

Who We Are:

Our Core Values: Authenticity, Grit and Empathy are at the heart of everything we do at HYCU. All of us at HYCU take ownership in shaping and contributing to our culture. We pride ourselves in developing an inclusive and diverse company that supports our employees and customers to do extraordinary things.

The following is how we approach each Core Value:

  • Authenticity – To be authentic means to be who we are and do it well. Focus your energy on being who YOU are. Be true to yourself. Authenticity also extends to our products. Understanding where we are truly the best fit for our customers and when we are not. And finally, authenticity in relationships: ensuring that we are honest and do what we say we’re going to do.
  • Grit – To win we need to want it. Every team member needs to be able to jump in and help at every turn. Whether it’s staying late to help a colleague or customer or finding a better process and making sure it’s communicated cross-functionally. You just have to do it and love it…and never stop trying.
  • Empathy – We need to care about each other, about our clients, about our business, and about the world around us. That might seem like a tall order, but if we don’t live in a constant state of empathy, if we don’t strive to truly put ourselves in another person’s shoes, we cannot truly serve the market.

"We are at our best when we stay true to our Core Values." ~ Simon Taylor, CEO
