How you will impact the organization…
The Sr. Fraud Analyst will focus on finding and closing potential vulnerabilities within our billing and payments systems before they can be exploited in order to maintain the high security and integrity standards our customers expect from our platform. It will require a deep understanding of ways that bad actors can perpetrate fraud and thinking proactively to close any gaps. The complexity of the role requires someone who not only possesses a strong technical background, but also has the ability to interact with a wide range of internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, with varying levels of technical knowledge.
The value you will deliver…
- You will own the ongoing analyses of fraudulent activity within the various billing and payment platforms we operate
- You will measure and adapt changes based on continued analysis and effectiveness
- You will work with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Finance team members to correlate impact of changes to revenue generation - it is critical that fraud controls do not impact legitimate business acquisitions
- Through research and review of our business and technical processes uncover elements that can be modified to close potential exploits before fraud occurs
- Develop a thorough profile of our exploiters and educate stakeholders
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Billing Engineers to ensure new products and features have these preventive techniques embedded from the start
- Develop techniques to extend simplified control for operations and support that allows them to control security settings
- Partner with Infosec, Billing, and Finance analysts on projects as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested. Consensus reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
What you will bring to the table…
- 5+ years experience as a Fraud Analyst, preferably in Banking/Finance fraud prevention and investigation
- 2+ years experience in coding in SQL
- Experience in fraud analysis within a technology solution.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and influencing skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communications with professional and technical audiences
- Professional experience creating and delivering/presenting technical analysis to a large number of stakeholders
- Highly committed, ethical, creative, analytical, and a team player.
You will stand out if you also have…
- 1+ years experience in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
- CFE, CAMS
- Background knowledge in AML/KYC
- BS/BA in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or Computer Science
- Basic knowledge of telecom systems & functionality

- Location requirements: Fully remote (Los Angeles or Las Vegas preferred.)
- Travel requirements: Up to 10% travel
- Physical requirements: Must be able to sit for long periods, as well as, handle long periods of screen time
- Technology requirements: Reliable, high speed internet

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000 USD annually. The total compensation package for this position is negotiable and may also include annual performance bonus, ESPP, enhanced time off packages and benefits. This job doesn't have an expiration date and will remain open until a qualified candidate is hired.
