The Impact of a Sr. Enablement Programs Manager at Coupa:
The Sr. Enablement Programs Manager will serve as an elite internal advisor and strategic enablement consultant directly to sales leadership and the business. This role is responsible for diagnosing sales performance gaps, designing targeted pipeline interventions, and executing a comprehensive sales enablement strategy that supports role-specific, continuous learning for our global field teams. This position requires a dynamic commercial consulting professional who can drive significant impact through cross-functional advisory, build high-impact sales enablement programs and supporting field content, provide expert facilitation, and leverage a passion for data-driven results to skill, upskill, and reskill Coupa sales employees and partners. You will partner as a trusted advisor with enterprise sales leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure our quota-carriers have the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to win deals, while proactively consulting on industry trends.
What You’ll Do
Program Ownership & Strategy: Own the end-to-end strategy, design, and execution of global and continuous learning programs for various teams, including Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.
Thought Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert and strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on enablement best practices, emerging trends, and technology.
Content Creation & Management:Partner with Coupa’s learning product development team to build engaging and effective learning content, including e-learning modules, workshops, playbooks, and job aids. Ensure all content is up-to-date and easily accessible on our learning platforms.
Facilitation & Training: Lead dynamic in-person and virtual training sessions for a variety of audiences. This includes new hire onboarding, ongoing skills development, product launches, and professional development workshops.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with key business stakeholders including; Sales Leadership, Human Resources, Product Marketing, and other key stakeholders to ensure our enablement programs are seamlessly integrated with broader business initiatives. Collaborate closely with leaders to prepare them to support their teams before, during, and after training events. Conduct quarterly stakeholder reviews to ensure progress and success.
Metrics & Tracking: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of all enablement initiatives. Use data to identify opportunities for improvement and report on the impact of enablement programs to leadership and inform stakeholders to define and refine programs.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to refine and optimize enablement programs. Stay informed about the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our programs remain cutting-edge.
Travel: This role requires up to 25% domestic and international travel to support in-person training events and team meetings.
What You Will Bring to Coupa
5+ years of experience in an enablement, learning and development, or training role within a SaaS software company.
5+ years sales experience with a SaaS or AI company.
Proven track record of designing, building, and delivering successful enablement programs for a global revenue audience.
Strong understanding of revenue best practices including MEDDPICC, commercial sales methodologies and best practices, and the tools used to support these sales motions such as Salesforce and Clari.
Working knowledge of procurement, supply chain or category management is a plus.
Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Excellent public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and enablement tools (e.g., Highspot).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
A collaborative and proactive mindset with the ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
