If you're passionate about leveraging cutting-edge AI to solve the intricate challenges within healthcare referrals and provider networks, improve patient access and outcomes, and deeply understand customer needs, this is your opportunity to make a profound impact.

Job Description:

The Opportunity: As our Sr. Director of Product Management, you will be the driving force behind the product strategy and roadmap for our next-generation AI products designed to transform referral management and optimize provider network performance. You will lead a talented team, collaborate closely with engineering, clinical experts, and directly with our customers (including payers and providers), to develop groundbreaking solutions that streamline referral workflows, enhance communication between referring and receiving providers, optimize network adequacy and efficiency, and ultimately improve patient journeys. Your deep understanding of healthcare operations, with specific expertise in referral management processes and provider network management strategies, coupled with your proven experience in building and scaling AI products, will be instrumental in shaping the future of healthcare delivery.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and champion the product vision, strategy, and detailed roadmap for Lumeris's AI-powered solutions specifically addressing inefficiencies and opportunities within referral management and provider network optimization, always prioritizing customer needs and market demands.
  • Lead in-depth market research, customer discovery (including direct engagement with physicians, specialists, practice administrators, and payer organizations), and competitive analysis focused on the referral management and network management software landscape to identify unmet needs, pain points, and opportunities for impactful AI innovation.
  • Define comprehensive product requirements, detailed user stories that reflect the nuances of referral coordination and network administration, and clear specifications, working collaboratively with engineering, design, and clinical teams to ensure a customer-centric and operationally sound approach.
  • Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle, from initial ideation and iterative prototyping (specifically focusing on user workflows within referral and network management) to successful launch and continuous iterative improvements based on direct customer feedback and performance data.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing product management team with expertise in healthcare workflows, AI applications, and a strong understanding of the complexities within referral and network management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, clinical, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure seamless product development, effective market positioning, successful adoption within referral and network operations, and ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage your deep expertise in AI and machine learning to identify and integrate innovative capabilities that automate manual referral processes, provide intelligent matching of patients to specialists, predict network gaps, optimize network design, and offer actionable insights for improved referral and network performance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes (including interoperability mandates and network adequacy requirements), and emerging technologies in healthcare and AI, with a specific focus on advancements in referral management platforms, network management solutions, and the application of AI within these domains.
  • Present a clear and compelling product strategy, progress updates (including key metrics related to referral efficiency and network optimization), and valuable customer insights to executive leadership and key stakeholders.

What You'll Bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive product management experience within the healthcare technology industry, with significant and demonstrable expertise in both referral management solutions and provider network management strategies.
  • Proven track record of successfully building and launching AI-powered products that directly address challenges within referral coordination and provider network operations, delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and patient outcomes.
  • Deep and nuanced understanding of healthcare operations, workflows, and data, with a strong empathy for the specific pain points and complexities involved in referral processes (e.g., leakage, delays, communication gaps) and network management (e.g., credentialing, contracting, adequacy).
  • Experience with value-based care models and a clear understanding of how effective referral and network management contributes to successful outcomes and cost reduction.
  • Strong leadership, exceptional communication (both written and verbal), excellent collaboration, and proven customer-facing skills, including the ability to engage effectively with physicians, specialists, administrators, and payer representatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex customer needs and intricate market insights within the referral and network management landscape into impactful and strategically sound product strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Healthcare Administration, Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) is highly preferred.
