Lilly Cyber is seeking a highly skilled Senior PMO Leader with experience in cybersecurity and a technical background to lead a team of program and project managers. This role will also partner with a team of Technical Threat Mitigation Leads (TMLs). The Senior PMO Lead will be a key leader in Cyber and will be responsible for overseeing complex technical projects, understanding intricate cybersecurity challenges, and ensuring successful project delivery. The role also requires expertise in capacity planning, forecasting, and utilizing data analytics to optimize project outcomes and resource allocation.
What You Will Do:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of PMs ensuring alignment with cybersecurity goals and delivery timelines.
- Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and forecasts that are reliable.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation within the PMO team, cyber security, and business unit leadership.
- Develop new and improve existing program governance processes.
- Project Oversight & Delivery:
- Oversee the execution of complex cybersecurity projects ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.
- Manage risks, issues, and escalations.
- Develop and implement project management methodologies and best practices tailored to cybersecurity projects.
- Capacity Planning & Forecasting:
- Lead capacity planning efforts by analyzing current and future resource needs and project timelines.
- Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to provide accurate forecasting for resource allocation and project deliverables.
- Continuously monitor project and resource performance, using data to adjust project timelines and resource allocations as needed.
- Implement strategies for optimizing resource utilization across multiple projects.
- Cybersecurity Expertise:
- Bring an understanding of technical cybersecurity issues, risks, and industry best practices to project management efforts.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure that projects align with security protocols and compliance requirements.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Drive the development and reporting of key project metrics, capacity forecasts, and performance analytics.
- Create real-time dashboard capabilities to update leadership and on initiative status and highlight escalating issues.
- Present actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders based on data analysis and project progress.
- Lead regular project and portfolio reviews, providing updates on resource capacity, project status, and risks.
Your Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Must have BS degree
- 10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years leading a PMO or cross-functional teams in technical and cybersecurity environments.
- Proven experience as Program Manager or similar role within cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, or related technical fields.
- Strong background in managing complex technical projects and leading teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience working withing highly technical organizations (e.g., software development, IT infrastructure, cloud computing, etc.) with the ability to understand and manage complex technical challenges.
What You Should Bring:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or similar.
- Advanced certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, etc.).
- Experience in managing a portfolio of cybersecurity-related projects or programs.
- Capability in capacity planning, resource management, and project forecasting using data-driven approaches.
- Skilled in data analytics and the ability to use analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.) to drive decision-making.
- Proficiency in project management tools (ex., Jira) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and prioritize competing demands effectively.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$154,500 - $226,600
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
