Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and enterprise-minded Sr. Director, Global Head of Compensation to lead the design and execution of our global compensation strategy. This role will oversee job architecture, compensation infrastructure, equity programs, and sales compensation design and administration to ensure our rewards programs drive performance, growth, and long-term value creation.
This leader will partner closely with Executive Leadership, Finance, Legal, and Revenue teams to build scalable, competitive, and equitable compensation programs that support our global workforce.

What You’ll Do

Global Compensation Strategy

  • Develop and implement a global compensation philosophy aligned to business strategy.

  • Lead salary structure design, market benchmarking, and incentive frameworks.

  • Ensure governance, compliance, and pay equity across regions.

Job Architecture & Infrastructure

  • Design and maintain enterprise-wide job architecture, leveling, and career frameworks.

  • Oversee compensation systems, analytics, and annual planning processes.

  • Drive data-informed decision-making and operational excellence.

Equity & Executive Compensation

  • Design and administer executive and broad-based equity programs.

  • Partner with Legal and Finance to support governance and Compensation Committee agenda development.

  • Align long-term incentives to company performance and shareholder value.

Sales Compensation

  • Design and govern scalable global sales compensation plans.

  • Partner with Revenue and Finance leaders on plan effectiveness and cost modeling.

  • Oversee plan administration and ensure operational rigor.

Leadership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing global compensation team.

  • Advise senior executives on compensation strategy and talent decisions.

  • Champion inclusive and equitable pay practices.

What You Bring

  • 12+ years of progressive compensation leadership experience, including global scope.

  • Advanced degree preferred.

  • Deep expertise in job architecture, equity programs, and sales compensation.

  • Experience supporting executive leadership and board-level governance.

  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.

  • Proven ability to lead through growth and transformation.

This is a high-impact, enterprise leadership role shaping how we attract, reward, and retain top talent globally.

Location and Workplace Flexibility

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote friendly culture, and all our employee's work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.

Base Salary Range

$185,000.00 - $234,650.00

At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.

Zelis’ full-time associates are eligible for a highly competitive benefits package as well, which demonstrates our commitment to our employees’ health, well-being, and financial protection.
