Position Summary
The Sr. Director, Technology Strategy is a trusted advisor and execution leader who partners closely with the GDATS SLT's leadership team to drive strategy, alignment, and operational excellence across the digital and technology organization. This role ensures the CDIO's agenda is effectively advanced by leading strategic initiatives, managing executive-level communications, overseeing governance processes, and ensuring seamless coordination across stakeholders. Acting as an integrator, strategist, and operator, the Director plays a critical role in maximizing the impact of the CDIO and the enterprise technology agenda.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution• Support the Office of the CDIO in defining and delivering the enterprise digital and technology strategy.• Translate high-level strategic priorities into actionable initiatives and measurable outcomes.• Coordinate cross-functional planning sessions and ensure alignment between digital, technology, and business priorities.
Office Leadership & Governance• Supports the CDIO Chief of Staff in executive governance processes, including preparation for board, executive committee, and steering group meetings.• Ensure timely, accurate reporting on technology investments, KPIs, and enterprise digital transformation progress.
Program & Initiative Leadership• Drive execution of enterprise-wide digital transformation programs and initiatives.• Partner with technology leaders to accelerate delivery of critical programs (e.g., cloud modernization, data & analytics, ERP/SAP transformation, cybersecurity).• Establish program management discipline to ensure accountability, transparency, and business impact.
Executive Communications & Engagement• Draft, review, and manage executive communications, presentations, and updates on behalf of the CDIO Chief of Staff.• Ensure consistent messaging of the digital/technology vision to internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Alignment & Relationship Building• Build trusted relationships across the GDATS SLT and their directs, functional leaders, and external partners.• Anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively address risks, roadblocks, or misalignment.• Serve as a connector across the technology leadership team, ensuring collaboration and alignment on priorities.
Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or related field; Master's degree or MBA.• 12+ years of experience in technology strategy, operations, consulting, or related leadership roles.• Strong track record in enterprise digital/technology transformation and governance.• Exceptional communication and executive presence; able to distill complex topics into clear, compelling narratives.• Experience in program management, portfolio management, or chief of staff-style roles highly desirable.• Proven ability to influence and build relationships across senior leadership and diverse stakeholders.

Salary Range*
$156,300 - 241,010
*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
