The Sr. Visual Designer at Chamberlain Group is a key creative leader responsible for turning complex ideas into compelling visual brand experiences across digital and print channels. This role drives creative development for web, mobile, email, print, packaging, and event materials, ensuring consistent brand storytelling and high-quality design execution. The designer collaborates with cross-functional teams, leads projects from concept to production, and creates professional channel materials for dealers, installers, and trade partners. They also help shape trade‑show and event experiences, contributing to booth design, demos, and on‑site brand presence. Success requires strong conceptual ability, strategic thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to translate brand strategy into impactful creative across all customer touchpoints.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop layouts, designs, and artwork for a wide variety of brand and marketing deliverables across digital and traditional channels, including web pages, apps, email campaigns, social platforms, in-store merchandising, print collateral, events, and experiential design initiatives through every phase including discovery, concepting, design, revision, and production.
Initiate and lead design exploration and creative concepting, translating strategic briefs and business goals into compelling visual directions and scalable design systems.
Develop strategy and visualization for digital experiences including websites, landing pages, apps, and email campaigns, ensuring usability, clarity, and strong brand expression.
Translate brand guidelines and expressions into visually striking, high-performing creative deliverables while evolving the visual identity to align with brand strategy and business growth priorities.
Create and maintain design guidelines, templates, and modular frameworks that enable consistent, scalable content creation across multiple teams, channels, and product categories.
Lead the creative development of professional channel storytelling, producing visually compelling assets and narratives tailored to dealers, installers, distributors, and trade partners.
Design and produce scalable print and physical collateral including brochures, one-pagers, sell sheets, product guides, catalogs, signage, and channel toolkits, ensuring print-ready execution and consistency across formats.
Support packaging design development by creating production-ready layouts and artwork, collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure packaging aligns with brand standards and technical specifications.
Develop training and enablement content design including sales presentations, partner education materials, onboarding resources, instructional guides, and field training toolkits that support internal and external audiences.
Develop brand experiences for large and small events including trade shows, lunch-and-learns, product roadshows, and partner meetings, ensuring cohesive storytelling and a high-quality customer experience.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive design system to streamline the design process and maintain design consistency across different products, campaigns, and touchpoints.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing managers, product owners, business owners, and external agencies to produce creative that meets business goals, timelines, and quality standards.
Communicate design concepts effectively, presenting creative recommendations and design rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including business and executive leadership.
Stay updated on visual design trends, tools, and best practices, integrating new approaches into the design process to maintain a competitive edge.
Ensure final creative deliverables meet production requirements and technical specifications, including file preparation for digital deployment, print production, packaging vendors, and event fabrication partners.
Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, or a related field. A strong portfolio of campaign work and brand visualization is a must.
Experience:
8+ years of professional experience in visual design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects, particularly in the smart home or consumer electronics space.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, and presentation software. Experience with prototyping tools is a plus.
Strong understanding of print production standards, including typography for print, color management, die-lines, material considerations, and vendor-ready file preparation.
Ability to translate product and brand strategy into compelling channel storytelling tailored for professional audiences (dealers, installers, distributors, and trade partners).
Proven ability to develop scalable creative systems for high-volume content production across multiple formats, including brochures, toolkits, training materials, and event collateral.
Strong conceptual and spatial design thinking with the ability to design immersive trade-event and booth experiences that drive engagement and support product demonstrations.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions to cross-functional teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to evolving project requirements and priorities.
Ability to work under little supervision and tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
Master's degree in design, graphics, UX, etc.
Experience:
Experience working in consumer appliances, commercial equipment, smart home, automotive, or access control categories with a demonstrated ability to translate technical features into clear, compelling customer-facing storytelling.
Experience partnering with fabrication vendors, print partners, and exhibit production teams to deliver high-quality trade-event executions on tight timelines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to generate or product high quality motion graphics. Experience with video content integrations is a plus
