This position requires someone who is highly strategic, and yet loves to be hands-on executing and scaling a working strategy by writing, optimizing, and measuring content. While directing AI and partners, you are currently the primary team. We seek a proactive problem-solver who can independently sharpen strategy and thrives in ambiguity to expand what is already working. We are AI-forward by design, using a foundation of AI tools to automate brand compliance. Your role is to leverage proactive AI to achieve objectives and produce high-impact content at scale—driving traffic, pipeline, and deals. The leverage exists; we need you to direct it.

What you will be doing:

  • Content Strategy: Own and evolve the content strategy across all digital and physical channels. You decide where the bets go: which audiences and topics are worth investing in, which channels earn priority, and what we stop doing to make room. Sharpen the existing foundation across our content channels, social, email, and video, and expand the playbook rather than repeating it. Create-once, repurpose-everywhere is how you scale a small team's output, not the strategy itself.

  • SEO and AI Search: Own DWC's organic and AI-search strategy, not just its execution. Decide which topics and keyword clusters we compete on, build the plan for topical authority in our categories, and treat AI-search (GEO) visibility as its own discipline with its own approach. Prioritize based on high-intent search demand paired with the qualitative signal from sales and customers. Manage on-page SEO and route technical issues like crawlability to our web vendor. Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and GA4 are how you measure, benchmark, and decide what's working; GA4 is the source of truth for traffic.

  • Sales Enablement: Own the content that helps reps and their distributor customers quote faster and sell with confidence. Decide what sales actually needs, then turn dense product detail and cross-channel VoC into materials they'll use, and drive adoption rather than just producing assets. Lead content education on two fronts: training reps on why content exists and how to use it in the deal, and teaching the market why to choose DWC. Utilize our self-service and syndicated content platform to its fullest potential so that reps and customers can pull what they need without routing every request through marketing.

  • Collateral Production and Governance: Oversee collateral production (brochures, decks, catalogs) with partners, personally handling urgent items. Implement content governance, including sunsetting and approval workflows, to ensure sales reps use only current materials.

  • Agency Direction: Brief and direct agencies/vendors for most design and all video, maintaining high quality standards. You will perform light, rapid in-house design, requiring visual taste and proficiency in Canva, Adobe, or Figma, though you are not the primary production designer.

  • Maintain Brand Coherence and Flawless Publishing: Ensure consistent visuals and voice across all internal, AI, or agency-produced content. Manage end-to-end publishing and CMS maintenance to ensure all assets launch accurately and function properly.

  • PR Support: Write and track press releases tied to key company milestones, as needed.

  • Measure against pipeline: Track performance against pipeline and business outcomes, not vanity metrics. Use the data to make decisions, doubling down on what's working, killing what isn't, and reallocating effort accordingly. Present findings to leadership in terms of ROI and impact.

Requirements:

  • Sales enablement experience: turning technical product detail into materials a sales team will can use effectively with customers, and teaching the why to both reps and the market

  • Background in instructional or educational content; you can teach two audiences with distinct goals: the sales organization (why content exists and how to use it in the sales process) and the market outside (how and why to choose DWC)

  • Governance experience: establishing approval workflows and sunsetting outdated materials

  • Agency background preferred

  • Proficiency with Ahrefs or SEMrush and similar marketing analytics tools are preferred

  • Strategic, data-driven thinker who sets content and channel strategy from performance data and business goals. You’re someone who sets an objective and understands the why behind every step toward it.

  • Proven experience owning SEO and AI-search (GEO) strategy, not just execution: building topical authority, prioritizing where to compete, and measuring with Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, and GA4.

  • Fluent in frontier AI (specifically Claude) to scale output and proactively align AI workflows with business objectives.

  • Strong multi-channel instincts (social, email, video) with the judgment to tailor and place content effectively.

  • Strong visual judgment to brief designers and handle quick-turn design in Canva/Adobe; complex design is outsourced.

  • Expertise in content production workflows, from briefing to QA and publishing.

  • A proactive operator who solves problems independently and isn't content with being “just an order-taker”

  • Skilled at managing competing priorities and multi-project timelines

  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

Salary Range: $92,000 - $105,000 plus bonus based on degree of experience

Some reasons you want to work at DWC

  • Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance

  • Company paid Life

  • Voluntary life, short- and long-term disability

  • 401k

  • Excellent time off options

  • Caring family

  • The work that you do matters

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
