You’ll own content design strategy and execution across key Growth surfaces, developing UX writing for experiences such as onboarding, notifications, and in-product guidance. • Collaborate and influence cross-functional partners, presenting your work, co-creating solutions, and advocating for the user.
  • Evolve and apply Pinterest’s content guidelines to scale inclusivity, accessibility, brand consistency, and global impact across experience touch-points.
  • Stay aware of industry shifts and cultural trends in the ways people communicate online; filter and apply these insights to keep Pinterest’s content fresh and relevant.
  • Embrace ambiguity and fast-paced environments, navigating trade-offs, and owning outcomes in your area.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, human-centered design a similar field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in content design or UX writing for consumer products, with a portfolio demonstrating user-centric content, design strategy, and measurable impact across in-product, push notification, and email experiences.
  • Expertise in defining, evolving, and applying content systems, frameworks, and standards, including using AI-powered tools and workflows to help scale your approach.
  • Experience driving A/B tests, experiments, or data-driven optimization for content effectiveness.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills to align and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proven self-starter: you’re skilled at navigating ambiguity, carving out strategy, and taking full ownership of your work area.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
