Title: Senior Compensation Manager, GTM/Sales
About the role:
Cloudflare is looking for an experienced Compensation Business Partner to resolve complex compensation problems and challenges, with a focus on the Sales and Marketing organization. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing meaningful compensation and reward programs, guiding stakeholders to make informed pay decisions, and building knowledge and trust in our compensation programs. This role will partner closely and consult with the HR business partners and a group of senior leaders and their organizations supporting and evolving Cloudflare's approach to Sales, Marketing, Customer Support and overall Go-To-Market (GTM) compensation. This includes partnering with the GTM Sales Incentive design team, and with global partners on non-US compensation issues.
Responsibilities:

  • Consult with GTM business leaders and HR Business Partners on all questions and topics related to pay competitiveness and sales compensation effectiveness
  • Work with complex compensation data and develop models to derive insights and drive decision making
  • Provide market analyses, including for OTE targets, pay mix recommendations, and salary/guidelines to the GTM organization. Prepare compensation reports and insights for leadership and executive teams
  • Partner with recruiters and managers to develop fair and competitive compensation offers to support the GTM organization's hiring strategy
  • Develop and deliver total compensation communications, including training, compensation statements, videos and other materials
  • Support the administration and smooth execution of the semi-annual compensation planning cycle across the client group as well as for other functions.
  • Partner with Finance on cost projections and budget planning related to the GTM organization
  • Assist with data preparation related to participation in compensation benchmarking surveys.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience as a Compensation Specialist or consultant; preferably 4 years directly supporting client groups in the Tech industry or other fast growth environment. Experience working with sales organizations and knowledge of sales incentive plans preferred
  • Strong problem solving ability. Knowledge of compensation analysis, statistical methods, and quantitative modeling with expertise in spreadsheets and presentation software
  • Proven stakeholder management and the ability to be a trusted and collaborative partner to HR business partners, Finance, Legal and business leaders
  • Excellent communication skills, and experience communicating with clients at various levels of the organization
  • In-depth knowledge of the Radford compensation survey, including benchmark jobs and its database
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, iterative environment, flexible and comfortable with changes in focus and direction.


Compensation
Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.

  • For Bay Area-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $159,000 - $195,000
