We are seeking a strategic, highly analytical, and operations-driven Sr. Commercial Strategy & Operations Manager to join our team. This high-impact role combines strategy and sales operations with analytics to provide analysis, support, and commercial insights to the Manufacturer Business Development team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong financial acumen, including experience in pricing, and have experience of collaborating with sales or business development functions in CPG and/or retail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead in-depth financial analysis of new brand opportunities to assess return on investment and leverage market analytics to evaluate alignment with strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Development, Category Managers, Marketing, Pricing, B2C Channel, B2B2C Sales, and Operations to drive holistic, but efficient processes
  • Maintain a revenue forecast, review financial performance, and determine contributing factors and impact of competitive strategies
  • Design and implement strategic selling tools and frameworks using data-driven insights
  • Mentor other team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team

Expected Skills and Competencies

  • Strategic Thinking: A strategic mindset with the ability to think big picture while diving into granular details and translating insights into actionable business strategies
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to derive insights from complex data and make informed strategic decisions
  • Financial Acumen: Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills, with a proven ability to analyze complex deals and provide clear, data-driven recommendations. Strong understanding of financial principles, including ROI analysis, profitability assessment, and forecasting methodologies
  • Market Familiarity: Experience with ecommerce, retail, and/or manufacturing (CPG preferred)
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Collaboration: Builds relationships across internal stakeholders with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Results-Driven: Motivated self-starter who is well organized, dependable, efficient, and results-oriented
  • Process Leadership: Experience managing complex processes end-to-end and improving them

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred; CPG experience preferred
  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience in sales strategy, sales operations, commercial operations, analytics, or pricing
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation skills

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$105,000 - $175,000
