Position Overview
We're searching for a Senior Cloud Financial Analyst to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing the financial aspects of our cloud infrastructure and services, helping to optimize costs, forecast expenditures, and ensure financial efficiency within cloud operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, cloud computing, and data analysis.
What You'll Do

• Cloud Cost Management: Monitor, track, and manage cloud spending across various platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.), ensuring alignment with budget and cost optimization strategies.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with cloud engineering and operations teams to develop accurate budgeting models, forecasts, and financial plans for cloud-based initiatives.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports for cloud infrastructure expenses, providing actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities by analyzing usage patterns, recommending resource adjustments, and implementing best practices to optimize cloud spend.
• Cloud Financial Modeling: Create and maintain financial models to assess the impact of cloud investments, comparing on-premises vs. cloud-based cost scenarios, and supporting business cases for cloud migration.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT, DevOps, procurement, and other departments to ensure cloud financial decisions align with organizational objectives and financial policies.
• Data Analysis & Tools Management: Use cloud cost management tools (e.g., CloudHealth, CloudCheckr, AWS Cost Explorer) to analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics.
• Risk Management: Identify financial risks related to cloud operations and propose mitigating strategies to ensure long-term financial stability.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to proactively suggest improvements in cloud financial processes and reporting.

We're Excited to Learn More About You

• Proven experience (5+ years) in cloud financial analysis, cloud computing, or a similar finance-related role.
• Strong understanding of cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their financial structures, including pricing models, billing, and cost management.
• Proficiency in financial analysis tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and cloud financial management platforms (CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer, etc.).
• Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.

You may have other skills or credentials, including :

• Certifications related to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals) or financial analysis (e.g., CFA, CPA).
• Experience with cloud migration projects and their financial implications.
• Experience with cloud cost management and optimization tools.
• Knowledge of automation tools for cloud cost management
• Knowledge of cloud service pricing models and billing structures.
• Familiarity with financial systems and ERP software.

Our targeted starting base salary in the United States for this position ranges from USD 90K to USD 115K. To determine a new team member's starting pay, we consider a variety of factors, including someone's depth, breadth, and variety of experience, skills, and responsibilities. Depending on the role, team members may also be eligible to participate in additional compensation plans such as bonus and commission.
