Job Description
Join Micron as a Category Supplier Manager and embark on an exciting journey to drive outstanding category management and strategic sourcing initiatives. You will play a key role in transforming how we compete in the global market, delivering world-class solutions through seamless execution and collaboration.
Category Management & Strategic Sourcing:

• Implement processes to strictly monitor collaborator happiness with key suppliers.
• Recommend ambitious targets to increase value such as high revenue, spend reduction, purchasing efficiency, customer services, and supplier management.
• Examine sourcing patterns and provide validated suggestions for designated categories.
• Participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal-setting.
• Develop category strategies for managed categories and validate strategies with Global and Regional Category Managers/s and internal partners.

Cost Management & Analysis:

• Identify and evaluate category-specific savings/revenue levers.
• Drive category savings/revenue and scorecard metric targets.
• Provide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal collaborators.
• Apply should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace.

Negotiation:

• Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc.
• Lead sourcing events/RFQ process into bundled negotiation.
• Incorporate savings targets and contract requirements into negotiations.
• Develop a contract strategy for suppliers in assigned categories and build, negotiate, monitor, and enforce contracted terms and conditions.
• Lead strategic sourcing efforts, negotiations, and cost management through supplier and industry analysis.

Business Partnering:

• Collaborate with collaborators to deliver strategic solutions.
• Develop and maintain expertise in the assigned spend categories through relationships with key collaborators.
• Drive a customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement.
• Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships to improve cost-effectiveness, supply chain efficiency, and resilience.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of background in category management and strategic sourcing with 2-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• A relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in category management and strategic sourcing.
• Strong negotiating and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with various individuals involved.
• Advanced skills in material cost structure understanding and analysis.
• Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance business processes, including developing and implementing AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and operating as a culture vanguard towards infusing AI into everyday work.
