The Senior C# Developer will lead AI enablement by transforming APIs into an Agent Mesh using C# and the MCP, ensuring secure AI interactions through Gravitee management.
This is a remote position.
We are looking for a forward-thinking Developer to lead our AI enablement strategy. You will be responsible for transforming our existing API ecosystem into a machine-readable "Agent Mesh." Using C#/.NET and the Model Context Protocol (MCP), you will build and manage the infrastructure that allows AI agents (like Claude or custom autonomous agents) to securely discover, interact with, and execute business logic through our Gravitee API gateway.
Key Responsibilities
- MCP Server Development: Design and build custom MCP servers using C# and .NET to expose internal data and tools to LLMs.
- API Management & Governance: Use Gravitee 4.9+ MCP Server capabilities to turn standard REST APIs into AI-ready tools via OpenAPI specifications.
- Security & Authorization: Implement MCP Authentication using OAuth 2.1 and Gravitee Access Management (AM) to ensure AI agents operate within secure boundaries.
- Orchestration: Configure Gravitee's native MCP Server application types to centralize how various AI models access enterprise resources.
- Observability: Monitor agent-to-API communications using Gravitee to debug tool calls, apply rate limits, and ensure the reliability of agentic workflows.
Technical Qualifications
- Expertise in C# / .NET: Deep experience building robust back-end services, SDKs, and integration layers.
- Model Context Protocol (MCP): Hands-on experience with the MCP standard for connecting AI models to external data sources.
- Gravitee Ecosystem: Proficiency in Gravitee API Management (APIM), including policy design, security plans, and the new MCP Tool Server.
- API Standards: Expert knowledge of REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, and asynchronous event-driven architectures.
- Python: Good knowledge of Python is a great plus.
- AI Knowledge: Understanding of LLM "tooling" (function calling), prompt engineering, and the lifecycle of autonomous AI agents.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with OpenFGA or fine-grained authorization for agentic systems.
- Familiarity with Agent Mesh architectures.
- Contributions to open-source MCP servers or AI integration frameworks.
