Job Description

Are you the master builder who can help us plan exciting and creative LEGO brand communications and experiences using everything LEGO has to play with?

We're looking for an experienced strategist who uncovers opportunities and creates bold strategies that inspire breakthrough ideas and motivate consumers across their journey. The role of the Senior Brand Strategist is to help ensure the precise development and execution of extraordinary communications in support of LEGO’s marketing goals.

Core responsibilities

The Senior Brand Strategist is responsible for driving creative excellence through brand-led strategies that unlock growth, inspire famously effective marketing, and deliver commercial impact:

  • Drive creative strategies that deliver exceptional marketing experiences, shift consumer behavior, and maximize brand and commercial growth

  • Translate business objectives, consumer insights, and data into breakthrough creative strategies and inspiring briefs

  • Lead cross-functional teams across creative, communications, and marketing to deliver culturally relevant, award-worthy campaigns with measurable impact

  • Own end-to-end campaign effectiveness, optimizing performance across audiences, channels, and brand and commercial KPIs.

  • Uncover culturally influential insights and craft compelling creative narratives that strengthen LEGO brand leadership and maximize marketing effectiveness

  • Apply strategic thinking across products, experiences, and channels to elevate creative excellence

  • Work closely and productively with the best creative and communications talent on the planet

  • Stay ahead of emerging consumer trends, creative thinking, and marketing platforms to continually raise the bar for innovation

  • Draw on many different sources of insight and knowledge to weave together a strong creative narrative to position LEGO as a leader in play for children and adults alike

Our LEGO Agency is the LEGO Group’s in-house agency, and we aspire to be one of the most creative agencies in the world (as well as the most playful). You will be joining a team of Strategists who collaborate closely with extraordinary marketing and creative talent to launch LEGO products, create new customer experiences, and tackle a variety of complex marketing challenges. Using an objective and insights-driven approach, we help refine and connect the LEGO brand with current and future customers in the Americas as well as all over the world.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Extensive experience in strategic planning or similar strategy role, responsible for insight development and creative planning, and communication architecture

  • Keen understanding of, and extensive experience in, brand communications

  • Wide range of experience working on brands that have created breakthrough work that works

  • Background has experience working with, and building real, productive relationships with creative people who span many fields - advertising, video, interactive, print, retail

  • Fantastic writing skills, visual story-telling skills, and presentation skills

  • React quickly to new information, opinions and direction and strategically pivot when necessary

  • Strive to positively influence peer group and cross functional team members

  • Work within a flat hierarchy, be a real person an excellent teammate, supporting other Strategists and non-Strategists to succeed together

  • Passion for creating communication work that has an impact, that matters and that’s memorable

  • Proven experience as a storyteller and communicator; must have past examples of thought leadership 

Additional details on this position

  • This is a Sr Manager level role based at 1001 Boylston St in Boston, MA.

  • Our workplace enables our LEGO® colleagues to be and do their best at work. Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $134,750.00 - $202,126.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
