Summary:
We’re seeking a Sr. Analytics Engineer to design, implement and optimize scalable, reliable, and high-performance data systems that power Bamboo Health’s analytics and care coordination products. As Sr. Analytics Engineer, you will bridge data engineering, analytics, product and business strategy to deliver insights that directly influence product direction, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes. Successful candidates excel at innovative problem solving, cross-team collaboration, and independently leveraging data to address the challenges our customers face in physical and behavioral care coordination.
What You’ll Do:
- Architect, optimize, and maintain analytical data models and pipelines that power internal and customer-facing reporting solutions.
- Collaborate across teams (Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Operations) to translate business needs into actionable data solutions.
- Drive initiatives to automate and standardize reporting frameworks, improving scalability, accuracy and maintainability.
- Create new dashboards and reporting capabilities that increase customer and user value.
- Become the technical subject matter expert on reporting and data components to provide accurate insights to other team members and leadership.
- Identify repetitive tasks and partner with team leads to implement scalable automation solutions.
- Stay curious about emerging AI tools and how they can streamline or enhance work within your function.
What Success Looks Like…
In 3 months…
- You understand Bamboo Health’s data ecosystem, tools, and key business use cases.
- You contribute to improving existing dashboards and pipelines with measurable efficiency gains.
- Identify at least one opportunity in your role to pilot or apply AI or automation (e.g., streamlining a task, summarizing data, generating content).
- In 6 months…
- You expand your scope of influence to other cross-functional stakeholders, including but not limited to product, engineering, marketing, and other key business area functions.
- You lead at least one cross-functional analytics initiative, improving operational reporting or product analytics.
- You establish data quality and automation improvements that enhance system reliability.
In 12 months…
- You’re recognized as a technical subject matter expert on analytics architecture and reporting infrastructure.
- You mentor others and help shape the analytics roadmap for scalability, innovation and best practices.
- Your work drives measurable business impact through enhanced insight delivery and operational efficiency.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics); advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data architecture, or data platform development.
- Expert SQL skills and experience developing production-grade analytical data models.
- Proficiency with modern data stack tools such as dbt, Starburst, GitHub, and Airflow.
- Advanced knowledge of Tableau and experience designing responsive, user-facing dashboards.
- Python proficiency for data transformation and workflow automation.
- Strong understanding of data governance, performance optimization, and observability.
- Proven success leading data initiatives and mentoring junior team members.
- Comfort using or learning AI-supported tools (e.g., ChatGPT, CoPilot, or role-specific tools) to improve daily workflows.
- A forward-thinking, curious mindset with an openness to experimenting with new technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and creativity in designing solutions.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly evolving environments.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment, ensuring high-quality virtual interactions with minimal distractions.
- The ability to travel periodically for work.
