This person will be a key member of our Collections Strategy team and responsible for supporting the development and implementation of our customer payment plans, digital customer engagement campaigns, strategy effectiveness reporting, and leading scale enablement projects. What you’ll do at Avant:
Contribute to the design and execution of collections strategies, including digital customer engagement, payment plan structures, and operational readiness.
Monitor and analyze collections performance metrics and resilience to assess effectiveness and recommend optimizations.
Create and maintain regular reporting on key operational results and KPIs; deliver insights to cross-functional partners and leadership.
Lead and support analytics projects end-to-end—requirements gathering, data extraction, manipulation, visualization, and presentation of findings.
Collaborate with teams across product, data, and operations to identify trends, customer behavior insights, and opportunities to improve collections efforts.
Recommend and support the rollout of process improvements, tooling enhancements, and automation efforts to scale strategy.
Facilitate working sessions and meetings with stakeholders to communicate findings and drive action on key initiatives.
Evaluate performance against targets and assist in updating strategic plans accordingly.
Why you’re a fit at Avant:
2+ years of experience in analytics, operations, credit, or strategy roles—preferably within a fintech, financial services, or lending environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Information Management or a related field; equivalent work experience also considered.
Advanced Excel skills and strong experience using SQL and Python (1+ year preferred).
Proven ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
High ethical standards, sound judgment, and a customer-centric mindset.
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points For:
Experience with digital engagement tools or collections platforms (e.g. LiveVox, Braze, Twilio).
Familiarity with consumer lending products or unsecured credit portfolios.
Exposure to machine learning models or segmentation strategies for collections.
This role is based on our downtown Chicago Office, located in the Merchandise Mart. We highly value collaboration and our hybrid schedule (M, T, Th in-office) enables flexibility to balance work and individual priorities.
Compensation Range:
The base salary range for this job is USD $65,000 - USD $85,000 / Year
Employees new to Avant typically come in below the midpoint of the pay range. The compensation range is based on the level outlined in the job posting, and compensation decisions are dependent on each applicant's experience, skills and abilities.

This role is eligible for additional incentives, including an annual bonus. These rewards are allocated based on level, impact and performance in the role.
