Our platform helps insurance carriers strengthen customer relationships while streamlining operations. We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced SaaS environment, enjoys solving complex accounting problems, and is excited by the opportunity to help shape scalable financial operations in a high-growth business.

You’ll play a key role in managing our Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving process improvement initiatives. This position offers significant exposure to SaaS accounting topics, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to grow and take on increasing responsibility as the company scales. We thrive on teamwork and shared enthusiasm, which is why this role involves joining us in the office for two days each week.

What You'll Do:

Core Accounting & Compliance

  • Own and manage the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Lead technical accounting research and help document accounting positions as new standards or business needs arise.
  • Oversee and coordinate external audits by managing and organizing audit requests efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Controller to strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Partner with the Controller to design and document standard operating procedures.
  • Lead efforts around accounts payable automation and other system-based process enhancements.
  • Leverage technology and automation tools to streamline recurring accounting tasks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting

  • Collaborate closely with FP&A, Legal, and Business Operations to ensure financial alignment and accurate data flow between teams.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles by providing accounting insights and variance analysis.
  • Work with business partners to ensure spend and accruals are properly captured each month.

Projects & Systems Optimization

  • Participate in system implementation and integration projects that enhance the accounting and reporting infrastructure.
  • Support the evaluation of accounting tools and platforms as the company scales.
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc analysis as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA track strongly preferred.
  • 57 years of accounting experience, including public accounting or SaaS/technology company experience.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and willingness to deepen technical accounting knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience with accounts payable automation, accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Ramp, Bill.com, Concur), and process optimization.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and comfort working with large data sets.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, analytical, and collaborative mindset — someone who enjoys solving problems and improving processes.

At Hi Marley, we are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. The annual base salary for this role is expected to fall within the range of [$99,000–$153,000], depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Offers are determined based on these factors as well as internal peer equity. It’s most common for new hires to start near the midpoint of the range, allowing room for growth as employees develop in their role.

In addition to base pay, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package that supports both your wellbeing and professional growth, including:
