Job Responsibilities:
About the Role
Program(s) responsible from a commercial perspective to manage day to day activity working closely both internally and externally to maintain and grow the program within the company. Key team member working collaboratively with divisions, program management, engineering, and finance to ensure customer expectations are achieved and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Your Responsibilities
General:
  • Provides customer insight, competitor intelligence, product trends and industry developments
  • Utilize product and process roadmaps to guide development toward commercial opportunities
  • Develops and maintains relationships with OEM customers and divisions that support Magna's ability to be successful
  • Supports customer strategy development
  • Manages responsible account inline with business plan expectations
  • Upholds the principles of the Magna Employee's Charter, Magna's Operational Principles, Magna's Environmental Health and Safety Policy & Procedures, Program Execution Process and Business Protocols.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Financial & Legal Responsibility:
  • Ensuring purchase orders are received on time and tracked throughout life of program
  • Commercial issues list tracking and management for timely closure
  • On time quote submission

Must understand and respect the laws and cultures in countries which Magna conducts business & Magna compliances

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent, technical / engineering degree is highly preferred
3+ years of automotive sales preferred, engineering, manufacturing, and/or program management.
Your preferred qualifications
  • Experience in program management and program management training is a benefit
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess excellent customer service, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Customer relationship experience is preferred with a track record of positive engagement
  • Valid driver's license

  • Responds to and investigates all reports of injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses and property damage immediately.
  • Takes an active part in the division's safety program by performing regular workplace inspections, effectively investigates accidents/incidents promptly and assists in meeting or exceeding the division's safety goals.
  • Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer.
