About Knotch

Knotch is redefining the future of websites in the age of AI.

The way people discover, engage with, and consume content is fundamentally changing. Customers now find information and make decisions through AI, increasingly with an agent acting on their behalf. Most brand digital presences were never built for this journey. Knotch is the AI-native infrastructure that closes that gap, giving brands the ability to meet every customer, and every agent, with the right experience at the right moment, and to adapt as fast as AI and consumer behavior keep changing.

Our platform combines content intelligence, measurement, and agentic AI to show enterprises what content works, continuously optimize their sites, and deliver measurable business outcomes. At the center is ACE (Agentic Content Engine), which moves brands beyond static websites toward intelligent, adaptive ones that keep improving.

We work with some of the world’s most recognizable companies. Our culture is fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and highly adaptable. We move quickly, test ideas, and evolve with our customers. We’re looking for exceptional people who want to help shape how leading brands show up in an AI world.

About the Role

Knotch is seeking an experienced, strategic Senior Account Director to lead and grow a small portfolio of our largest and most important enterprise customers, including Fortune 500 organizations.

You will focus deeply on a handful of highly strategic relationships, developing executive partnerships, driving transformational initiatives, and identifying opportunities to significantly expand Knotch's footprint

You will also serve as the leader of a dedicated cross-functional account pod, bringing together professionals across strategy, client operations, analytics, and consulting. You will be responsible for setting direction, managing team performance, aligning priorities, and ensuring your pod delivers exceptional outcomes for customers.

Success requires equal parts commercial leadership, strategic thinking, and people leadership. You must be equally comfortable navigating the C-suite of a Fortune 500 company, identifying multimillion-dollar growth opportunities, and coaching a team to deliver results.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to own the success of a few major customers rather than simply manage a book of business.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Client Leadership & Strategy

  • Own executive relationships across a concentrated portfolio of Fortune 500 and other large enterprise accounts.
  • Build trusted partnerships with senior marketing, digital, content, and technology leaders, including C-suite executives.
  • Develop and execute strategic Account Plans connecting customers' business priorities to Knotch's solutions, measurable outcomes, and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Lead executive-level conversations about digital transformation, AI, content strategy, and business performance.
  • Position Knotch as a strategic partner helping customers evolve their websites and digital experiences for an AI-driven future.
  • Navigate complex enterprise organizations, expanding relationships across business units, functions, and geographies.

Pod Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead a cross-functional account pod, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and a shared commitment to customer outcomes.
  • Provide direct people leadership, coaching, performance management, and professional development for assigned pod team members.
  • Empower team members to take ownership, solve problems proactively, and operate with greater autonomy.
  • Establish a culture of high performance, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer accountability.
  • Ensure the pod operates as one coordinated team, with clearly defined responsibilities and alignment around customer priorities.
  • Balance strategic initiatives, customer commitments, and team capacity to focus resources on the highest-impact opportunities.

Commercial Ownership & Growth

  • Own the commercial success of each account, including renewals, expansion, pricing strategy, and long-term partnership value.
  • Identify and develop significant growth opportunities through additional business units, brands, domains, products, and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the introduction and expansion of Knotch's AI-powered solutions, particularly ACE, within existing enterprise relationships.
  • Build compelling business cases that connect Knotch's solutions to measurable customer value and ROI.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations and develop multiyear partnerships.
  • Maintain disciplined forecasting of renewals, expansions, pipeline, and account risk.
  • Take accountability for retention, growth, and long-term customer value across the portfolio.

Customer Outcomes & Execution

  • Own overall customer success, ensuring the pod delivers against the business outcomes and strategic priorities defined in each Account Plan.
  • Translate executive priorities into clear objectives, initiatives, and measurable success criteria for the pod.
  • Drive a shift from reporting insights to delivering actionable recommendations and measurable improvements in customer performance.
  • Ensure teams proactively identify opportunities, address obstacles, and bring innovative ideas to customers.
  • Maintain executive visibility into progress, value delivered, risks, and future opportunities.
  • Champion new ways of working that leverage AI, automation, and Knotch's evolving capabilities to improve customer outcomes and team effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of enterprise account leadership experience, with a proven track record managing and growing complex, high-value customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated success managing a concentrated portfolio of Fortune 500 or similarly large enterprise accounts, ideally including multimillion-dollar relationships.
  • Proven commercial ownership, including renewals, expansion, executive negotiations, and revenue growth.
  • Experience leading and developing teams, with the ability to establish accountability, coach individuals, and drive performance across multiple disciplines.
  • Exceptional executive presence and experience building trusted relationships with SVP and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect marketing, digital experiences, content performance, and AI investments to measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience navigating complex enterprise environments involving multiple stakeholders, business units, and competing priorities.
  • A strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and translate them into executable plans.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI and its impact on marketing, content, customer experience, and enterprise technology.
  • Proficiency with AI-powered tools to accelerate planning, analysis, productivity, and customer engagement.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both virtually and in person.
  • A bias toward action, strong ownership mentality, and willingness to challenge traditional ways of working.
  • Willingness to travel for key customer meetings and executive engagements.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in both enterprise SaaS and marketing agencies or consulting organizations.
  • Background in MarTech, digital experience platforms, content technology, analytics, or enterprise AI solutions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional customer teams responsible for both commercial growth and delivery outcomes.
  • History of expanding major enterprise accounts through transformative, multiyear initiatives.

How to be Successful

  • Customers see you as a strategic partner, not a vendor or traditional account manager, and involve Knotch in important digital and AI initiatives.
  • Your pod operates as a high-performing team, with clear accountability, strong leadership, and individuals who are empowered to deliver exceptional work.
  • Your accounts grow meaningfully, through strong retention, deeper adoption, successful renewals, and significant expansion opportunities.
  • Your customers achieve measurable business results, with clear evidence of the value Knotch delivers.
  • Your team consistently moves from insights to outcomes, proactively driving customer progress rather than simply reporting on performance.
  • You build deep, durable executive relationships, creating partnerships that can grow substantially over multiple years.

  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
