Description
PingWind is seeking an experienced Sr. 508 Compliance Specialist to join our team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. This is a fully remote position responsible for ensuring accessibility support for enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
• Ensure accessibility compliance through UI development, testing, and code reviews to ensure components and systems meet WCAG 2.2 guidelines.
• Conduct accessibility audits
• Assist with identifying critical accessibility issues and provide recommended solutions.
• Resolve critical accessibility issues.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and strategies regarding accessibility
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Accessibility, or related field with 5+ years of federal accessibility experience
• Expert knowledge of Section 508 standards, WCAG guidelines, and federal accessibility testing methodologies
• Experience with federal accessibility evaluation tools, remediation procedures, and compliance documentation
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including experience managing document version control.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project needs and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certification in accessibility compliance (CPACC, WAS, or equivalent) and knowledge of federal accessibility laws
