About This Role:

The Sponsorship Sales Representative reports to the global director of events. This person sells and renews sponsorship products to a wide range of technology and service providers in Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific.

 

Job Description:

  • Meet revenue and bookings targets for sponsorship sales.

  • Sell and renew event sponsorships ranging from $15,000 to $300,000 for Forrester events to technology and service providers. Maintain and build quality relationships to ultimately renew and grow sponsorship business.

  • Develop new business opportunities by actively researching and identifying new prospective customers to sell to.

  • Create and manage a pipeline of prospects four times the target to grow the sponsorship client base and ensure target attainment.

  • Maintain active daily outbound prospecting metrics to develop pipeline and growth with a focus on new business development. Align the content and value proposition of the event with the prospective sponsor’s business initiatives and goals.

  • Forecast accuracy: understanding deal velocity and stage assignment.

  • Build internal relationships and become a trusted partner by working closely with the direct research sales force within Forrester on client accounts and non-client accounts to prospect and close sponsorship sales.

  • Collaborate with global event team members on franchise selling across all event regions.

  • Maintain successful partnership with event operation coordinators to ensure that sponsors receive the expected deliverables in a timely fashion, and that post sale requests are addressed.

  • Manage accounts onsite at Forrester events, including preconference briefings, setup support, account support during the event, and a post-event feedback session.

  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction among sponsors, which equate to onsite renewals.

  • Clearly communicate the established sponsorship programs to renewal and prospective sponsors.

 

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • Experience in selling conference and event sponsorships and exhibit programs, or related experience selling to technology vendors.

  • Experience in hunting for new logos as well as managing, renewing, and growing existing accounts.

  • Direct experience in meeting sales targets, building a network of contacts, growing and maintaining a healthy pipeline resulting in sales, identifying and closing new accounts, and managing large sponsor accounts.

  • History of building senior-level relationships with C-level leaders in $1B-plus enterprise organizations.

  • Excellent communication, expectation-setting skills, and organizational skills.

  • Curiosity and creative growth mindset are a must.

Please note that the base salary range indicated here is inclusive of all applicable US geographies listed in this requisition. This salary range is based upon the position as described in the job listing. The offered compensation may vary within this range and is dependent upon the successful candidate’s primary work location, experience, training, education, and credentials.
Base salary range: $62,000-100,000
