Role Description: Sponsorship & Events Intern 

 

Role Purpose: 

 

Wasabi’s Sponsorships & Events intern will be work in a rotational capacity, starting with our Events team during the Summer and moving into our Sports Marketing Sponsorships team for the Fall. This role will support the events, sports partnership and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.


The role will report to the Senior Manager, Events and the Senior Sponsorships & Events Manager and will support execution efforts for partnership and corporate initiatives related to several different types of events. 


*Principals only. No recruiters.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for events remotely and on site from planning to on-site set and through break down.
  • Work on templates for pre-event prep and post-event analysis.
  • Assist with giveawayportal reporting and maintenance.
  • Support the management of hospitality components of corporate sponsorships including special game day packages and events.
  • Collaborate with Wasabi’s social media team to ensure events receive proper promotion on the appropriate social channels.
  • Create a new process for post-event feedback from internal staff.
  • Work a lead generation trade show from planning through on-site execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, event management, sports marketing or related field(s).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and customers.
  • Process oriented including post event follow up.
  • Ability to work remotely from July-September and to commute to the Boston area from October- December. 
  • It would be a plus if you have/are: 
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to solve event related issues.
  • Highly collaborative team player.
  • Motivated self-starter that is comfortable working independently and in ambiguity.
  • A passion for details, logistics and seeing events come together from ideation to execution.
