The Spectrum Internship Experience
You'll join one of our departments for the summer, where you'll contribute to meaningful projects that give you insight into what it's like to work at a leading connectivity company. You'll have access to:

What you can expect in this role
As a Spectrum intern, you'll spend the summer working alongside two teams - your respective department and your intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 27th, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects, and final presentations.
Internship responsibilities may include
Put your creativity, digital storytelling, and content creation skills to work supporting social media and video initiatives. This summer internship offers the opportunity to collaborate with teams to develop engaging social media content, grow online audiences, and contribute to digital storytelling across platforms. Interns gain hands-on experience creating content, managing video workflows, and analyzing performance to inform content strategy.
  • Develop creative social media posts, graphics, videos, and short-form content across platforms
  • Assist in filming, editing, scheduling, and optimizing video content, including YouTube
  • Support content planning and maintain social media publishing calendars
  • Track and analyze social media and YouTube performance metrics to help inform content strategy
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support digital storytelling and audience engagement initiatives

You'll gain hands-on experience managing real social media content, learn how analytics and audience insights drive engagement, and develop your creative voice while working alongside experienced digital and communications professionals.
Required qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor's degree
  • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
  • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred qualifications
  • Passion for social media, digital storytelling, and content creation
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, video creation and basic analytics tools (Instagram Insights, YouTube Studio, etc.) is a plus
