As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll lead the design and delivery of highly scalable systems and architectures, overseeing their complete lifecycle. You'll innovate on system performance and efficiency while guiding the technical direction of projects and teams.
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
The Red Sox Ticket Sales Department primarily sells tickets and hospitality for Red Sox baseball and events held at Fenway Park. The department prides itself on creating exceptional experiences, building relationships, and delivering results for its clientele. The Special Event Account executive works alongside the Red Sox Sales Academy and Premium Season Ticket teams, which focus on teamwork, competition, and career growth.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
This outbound sales role will be dedicated to ticket and hospitality sales for special events, primarily focusing on the Wasabi Fenway Bowl. This college football bowl game occurs annually at Fenway Park each December. The Account Executive will be responsible for expanding an existing book of business, building upon group initiatives, and ideating new ones for the Wasabi Fenway Bowl, and other Special Events held at Fenway Park. In addition, the AE may at times be called upon to provide group sales and hospitality support for Red Sox Spring Training on-site at JetBlue Park in FT Myers, FL during the first quarter timeframe.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary responsibility for selling group tickets, and hospitality for the Wasabi Fenway Bowl and other Special Events.
- Develops new leads through cold calling, emails, text, and referrals from current customers
- Plays an active lead role in brainstorming group ideas, and ideation of group initiatives.
- Must be a team player working alongside the Special Event team to execute group, and hospitality initiatives.
- Ability to assist the group & hospitality sales team for Red Sox Spring Training on site at JetBluePark during the first quarter of the year.
- Provides excellent customer service to prospects and current clients over the phone and in person.
CHARACTERISTICS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2-3 years of relevant sales experience preferred; group or event sales experience preferred.
- Strong desire to be a sports sales industry leader.
- Strong customer service, self-motivated, excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficient in, Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
