Solutions Engineer
Location: MetroWest Boston / Hybrid
Overview
TruVideo is on a mission to redefine how businesses build trust and transparency through video, AI, and real-time communication. Our core APIs and mobile SDKs are used by some of the most important partners in automotive and beyond.
We’re growing at a rapid pace and we’re adding a new role to enhance our capabilities in developing new partners. We are constantly upgrading our engagement model from sales to launch for our current and future enterprise partners. You'll help define and refine how we take partners from first technical conversation to production launch.
As a member of the TruVideo Product team, the Partner Solutions Engineer sits at the intersection of product, sales, and engineering — shaping how partners evaluate, adopt, and succeed with TruVideo. You will directly impact revenue by helping partners say yes faster, integrate correctly, and scale confidently in production.
You have the experience and opportunity to establish this new function and play an influential role in our product direction.
The role at a glance
The Partner Solutions Engineer will be a trusted technical advisor to our strategic partners and the primary technical partner-facing representative for TruVideo’s SDKs and APIs.
You will:
- Be a critical pre-sales asset during technical discovery, architecture reviews, and proof-of-concepts
- Own the developer experience end-to-end: documentation, Swagger/OpenAPI, reference integrations, and demos
- Act as a trusted technical touchpoint post-GA, guiding partners through releases, changes, and best practices
This role is roughly 20% pre-sales / 80% post-sales.
What you’ll do
Pre-Sales & Partner Evaluation
- Support Sales and Product during partner evaluations, RFPs, and architecture discussions
- Explain TruVideo’s APIs, SDKs, and platform tradeoffs clearly to partner engineering leads and architects
- Build lightweight demos, prototypes, and reference flows that accelerate partner confidence and decision-making
Partner Implementation & GA Touchpoint
- Build strong relationships with partner developers and architects
- Guide partners through implementation and launch
- Help troubleshoot integration issues such as malformed requests or misaligned expectations vs. specs
- Serve as a technical point of contact in support of the Product team for internal customer success team and partners post-GA:
- Regular maintenance releases
- Feature releases and deprecations
- Change communication and readiness
Developer Experience Ownership
- Own and continuously improve TruVideo’s developer documentation, including:
- API references & Swagger/OpenAPI
- SDK onboarding guides (iOS, Android, React, Flutter, MAUI, etc.)
- Common integration patterns, pitfalls, and best practices
- Ensure documentation reflects how the platform actually behaves, not just how it’s intended to work
- Advocate internally for developer usability, clarity, and consistency across releases
Scaling Beyond Top-Tier Partners
- While focused on top-tier and strategic partners, you’ll also help shape self-serve and scalable enablement for smaller customers
- Identify patterns across integrations and feed insights back into Product to reduce friction, improve defaults, and lower cost-to-serve
