You will join a team developing state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.
The Humanoid Robot Solutions Engineer will be responsible for driving sales of advanced humanoid robotic solutions across multiple industries, including logistics, retail, and manufacturing. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and strong sales acumen to identify client needs, offer tailored solutions, and effectively demonstrate the capabilities and benefits of humanoid robots.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and engage with prospective clients in sectors such as logistics, retail, and manufacturing.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including CTOs, operations managers, and process/industrial engineering teams.
- Deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and ROI analysis that showcase the technical capabilities and business benefits of humanoid robots.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted materials and campaigns to attract new business opportunities.
- Technical Consultation:
- Understand the technical and operational needs of clients and recommend suitable humanoid robotic solutions.
- Provide in-depth product knowledge, explaining the features, functions, and potential applications of humanoid robots.
- Conduct site assessments to ensure that the integration of humanoid robots aligns with the client’s operational environment.
- Prepare detailed proposals, including system specifications, costs, and timelines, while ensuring the solution meets the client’s technical and business objectives.
- Product Knowledge & Demonstrations:
- Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s humanoid robot offerings, including hardware, software, and potential applications.
- Stay informed on the latest trends and advancements in robotics, AI, and automation relevant to humanoid robotics.
- Organize and conduct live demonstrations and workshops showcasing the capabilities and benefits of humanoid robots.
- Train clients and their teams on the effective use, maintenance, and operation of humanoid robots.
- Project Management:
- Work closely with the application engineering team to ensure successful deployment of humanoid robots.
- Gather client feedback and work closely with the product development team to improve and innovate future humanoid robotic offerings.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- In-depth knowledge of humanoid robotic systems, AI, and automation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to provide innovative solutions to clients.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site assessments, and product demonstrations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics) or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales engineering within the robotics, AI, or automation sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully selling complex, high-tech products or solutions to enterprise clients.
- Experience with AI-powered humanoid robots or mobile robotics.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, ROS) and robotic simulation software.
- Prior experience in industries such as logistics, retail, and manufacturing.
- Familiarity with integrations of robots to systems such as a WMS, WES, MES, etc
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 25-45 pounds at times
- Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen
- Hearing and speech to communicate
- International travel likely; passport highly desired
- Travel up to 50% may be required
