About the Role…

As a Solutions Engineer, you'll serve as the trusted technical advisor throughout the customer buying journey. Partnering closely with Account Executives, you'll translate complex security challenges into practical business outcomes by demonstrating how Glow's platform solves real customer problems.

This role combines technical expertise, customer engagement, and consultative selling. You'll lead technical discovery, product demonstrations, proof-of-value engagements, and architectural discussions while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Product Marketing.

We're looking for someone who loves solving difficult technical problems, enjoys working directly with customers, and thrives in a fast-moving startup environment.

What You’ll Do …

Technical Sales
  • Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle

  • Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer environments and business objectives

  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to customer use cases

  • Design and execute Proof of Value (POV) and Proof of Concept (POC) engagements

  • Present technical solutions to security practitioners, architects, engineering teams, and executive leadership

Customer Consulting
  • Serve as the trusted cybersecurity advisor during evaluations

  • Map customer pain points to Glow's platform capabilities

  • Provide architecture guidance and deployment recommendations

  • Assist customers with integrations into existing security ecosystems

  • Answer technical questions regarding product capabilities, APIs, integrations, and deployment models

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate with Product Management by sharing customer feedback and feature requests

  • Partner with Engineering to solve complex customer challenges

  • Work with Customer Success to ensure smooth transitions following closed deals

  • Support Marketing through webinars, customer events, technical blogs, and field enablement

Sales Enablement
  • Develop reusable demo environments and technical assets

  • Create solution playbooks and competitive positioning materials

  • Mentor Account Executives on technical messaging

  • Contribute to internal enablement and knowledge sharing

What You’ll Bring …
  • 5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting

  • Experience supporting enterprise software or SaaS sales

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity technologies and modern enterprise architectures

  • Experience leading technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer workshops

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences

  • Experience working alongside Enterprise or Strategic Account Executives

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills

  • Willingness to travel up to 30%

  • The Glow Mindset: You take ownership, act with accountability, collaborate openly, and focus on delivering meaningful impact. You thrive in fast-moving environments, embrace ambiguity, and enjoy solving hard problems together.

At Glow, we believe our greatest strength is our people. We're committed to building an inclusive workplace where every team member feels welcomed, respected, and empowered to do their best work. We know that diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives make us stronger as a company and better partners to our customers.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
