About Us

Turnstile is the revenue lifecycle management platform that makes quote-to-cash easy, no matter how you price. Today, revenue, operations, and finance teams struggle with everything from billing customers to rolling out new pricing because their commercial data is scattered across a mess of spreadsheets and siloed tools.

Turnstile creates a shared source of truth for your commercial terms and gives you everything you need to manage your revenue lifecycle—from quoting and subscription management to billing and revenue recognition—simplifying workflows so you can scale with ease.

We're a small, fully remote, and proven team with multiple "best places to work" awards to our credit. We have strong backing from First Round Capital, prominent usage-based founders and operators, and other top investors. The last company we started, Second Measure, scaled to 70+ people and tens of millions in revenue, and was ultimately acquired by Bloomberg in a landmark deal.

The Opportunity

As our first Solutions Engineer at Turnstile, you'll be a key member of our early-stage team, playing a crucial role in driving our success as we scale up-market. You'll partner closely with customers on a daily basis, guiding them through onboarding and seamlessly integrating their core revenue processes onto the Turnstile platform. Serving as a critical bridge between Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Product teams, you'll ensure alignment and deliver impactful business outcomes for our customers.

In this role, we'll ask you to:
  • Onboard our largest customers’ core revenue processes onto Turnstile

  • Diagnose and solve complex customer needs using existing tools and new tooling as you deem necessary

  • Think like a Product Manager and operate with autonomy to:

    • Build operator tooling to help accelerate your own role and that of non-technical support

    • Build customer features that make onboarding easier and faster for customers

  • Provide feedback to product teams in terms of customer demands and system operability

  • Become familiar with Turnstile’s application and codebase, and use that knowledge to help customers run their businesses

  • Work with Customer Success, Sales, Support, and Product teams to deliver critical business outcomes

We'd love to hear from you if:
  • You either have 5- 10 years of experience in a Solutions Engineer/Architect, Sales Engineer, or Forward Deployed Engineer-type role - collaborating closely with customers to solve their real-world challenges OR you have 5 - 10 years of engineering experience and are passionate about working with customers

  • You’re comfortable building fullstack applications using Typescript and React

  • You have strong communication skills and high customer empathy

  • You are adept at building operator tooling and being resourceful

  • You are experienced bridging the gap between non-technical support and product teams

Bonus points for experience with:
  • Next.js, Prisma, tRPC

  • Building and scaling early teams of Solution, Sales, or Forward Deployed Engineers

  • Early-stage startups and 0 → 1 product development

  • Revenue operations, quote-to-cash or modern finance stacks

Working at Turnstile
  • Competitive and Fair Pay: Equal pay by role and level at the 75th percentile of SF salaries ($185,000 to $205,000 for this role, depending on level) plus meaningful equity

  • Fully Remote: Distributed by design with team members from San Francisco to Raleigh

  • Fully Covered Health Benefits: 100% paid medical, mental health, dental, and vision premiums for you and your family

  • Paid Parental Leave: 16 weeks for birthing parent, 12 weeks for all other parents welcoming a new child into their home

  • 401(k): With 4% company contribution, regardless of what you put in

  • Flexible PTO: Take the time you need to unplug and unwind

  • Setup: New Mac + $1,500 annual stipend to make your home workspace more comfortable and productive

Turnstile is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We learn from perspectives that are different from our own and are committed to creating an equitable and inclusive environment for all our employees. We recognize that great talent doesn’t always fit neatly into predefined roles.
