About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer/Pre-Sales Engineer in New York to be part of an industry leading FinTech firm.

You will be part of a team of 60 solving an important problem facing the investment management industry, in an environment that is both fun and engaging. The target segment would be asset allocators such as consultants, OCIO, endowments, foundations, insurance firms, bank wealth platforms, RIAs and asset managers including traditional asset managers, hedge funds, private equity, real estate, and venture capital funds. Location: US (East Coast Region) - Remote


Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the sales teams and support teams to develop and execute a sales plan that will meet and exceed strategic goals and objectives
  • Work closely with prospective customers’ technical resources early in the sales process to gain a deep understanding of their technical requirements to best position the sale.
  • Provide product expertise regarding architecture design, strategy, planning, and deployment and successfully manage all technical aspects of Proof of Value (PoV) deployments.
  • Regularly perform complex and technical demos 
  • Deep technical and commercial knowledge of API and data migration
  • Support technical and product related aspects of the RFI/RFP/DDQ process of prospective sales
  • Understand prospective customers’ tech stacks and integration aspects
  • Articulate technical aspects of integrations and partnerships
  • Create strong relationships with prospective customers to build trust and become a technical advocate for the customer’s wants and needs, leading to both sales and customer referrals.
  • Build an end-to-end product knowledge base and, and provide feedback to Product and Development teams.
  • Technically enable channel partners to support the company’s products.
  • Develop technical materials to support sales efforts.
  • Build custom environments that relate to our specific use cases and customer types
 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Sales/Pre-Sales Engineer is a must.
  • Excellent English, oral and written. Other languages are beneficial.
  • Demonstrated technical understanding of cloud architecture
  • Understanding of investment technology
  • Understanding of the investment management ecosystem and landscape
  • Hands-on knowledge of API-related products and technologies.
  • Previous success in a growth-stage company as an SE.
  • Excellent interpersonal qualities.
  • Self-starter and willingness to take initiative
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Compensation includes salary, commission, equity options. Salaries depending on experience and geography.
