Your role at Dynatrace
As a Dynatrace Solution Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our sales efforts by delivering outstanding technical guidance and value-based solutions to prospects and customers. You will be the subject matter expert on Dynatrace and all aspects of Advanced Observability.
In this role, you'll lead product demonstrations that highlight how Dynatrace solves customer pain points, manage both remote and onsite POCs, complete RFPs/RFIs, and build trusted relationships with technical stakeholders. You'll collaborate closely with teams across Innovation Labs, Expert Services, Customer Success, and Marketing.
About you
We're looking for a self-motivated, ambitious individual with a passion for technology and technical sales. You're comfortable in front of both business and technical audiences and excel at translating complex concepts into business value. Previous presales or customer-facing technical experience is essential.
You'll thrive in this role if you:

Responsibilities
- Evangelize Dynatrace's solutions at key industry events and customer meetings
- Partner with sales to uncover and drive new opportunities
- Lead technical evaluations and architecture discussions during POCs
- Present Dynatrace's vision to customer executives and decision-makers
- Provide expertise during Discovery, Evaluation, and Proposal stages
- Deliver live product demos at major marketing and partner events
- Share customer feedback with Product Management to guide innovation
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practices
- Collaborate with local sales leadership to support growth and enablement
- Tailor customer presentations and solution narratives
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to partners and their customers
This role may be filled at a higher level based on experience.
What will help you succeed
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the observability space
  • Experience working with containers (e.g., Docker)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable with Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Solid background in software engineering (hands-on experience strongly preferred)
  • Experience in presales, preferably within technology or software engineering

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Java, .NET, PHP, Go, Node.js, and databases
  • Advanced knowledge of operating systems (Windows and Linux)
  • Exposure to DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Knowledge of modern tools like Kubernetes, OpenShift, serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform

Compensation and Rewards
  • The base salary range for this role is $125,000- $160,000. When determining your salary, we consider your experience, skills, education, and work location.
  • Our total compensation package includes unlimited personal time off, an employee stock purchase plan, and a reward system.
  • We also offer medical/dental benefits, and a company matching 401(k) plan for retirement.
