The OpportunityFlock Safety is scaling rapidly across our largest and most complex public-sector customers. As deal sizes grow and sales cycles lengthen, we are hiring a Solutions Engineer, Majors to serve as a strategic advisor to major law enforcement agencies and city stakeholders.
This role exists to solve a very specific problem: helping large agencies confidently make long-term, high-stakes technology decisions by clearly tying Flock’s platform to real investigative, operational, and public safety outcomes. You will partner closely with Account Executives to lead value-driven discovery, shape deal strategy, and guide customers from early conversations through executive approval and final sign-off.
In this role, you operate at the intersection of value selling, technical architecture, and executive communication. You are not just running demos — you are helping Chiefs of Police, IT leaders, and procurement stakeholders understand why Flock matters, how it fits into their environment, and what impact it will deliver over time.
This is a high-visibility role supporting long (12–18 month), complex sales cycles with deal sizes ranging from $100K to $10M+, requiring confidence, judgment, and prior experience selling into law enforcement agencies.
The SkillsetTo succeed as a Solutions Engineer on the Majors team, you bring a balance of presales discipline, public-sector credibility, and value-based selling expertise.
Prior experience selling into Law Enforcement agencies in a presales or technical sales capacity (required)
5+ years of Sales Engineering or Solutions Engineering experience, ideally supporting enterprise or public-sector customers
Strong value-based selling mindset, with the ability to anchor conversations around outcomes, ROI, and operational impact
Experience leading complex discovery sessions and tailoring solutions for multi-stakeholder buying groups
Architecture-level technical fluency, including integrations, deployment models, and security considerations
Comfort running hands-on, executive-level demos for both technical and business stakeholders
Experience partnering closely with Account Executives to shape deal strategy, including support for SOWs, POCs, and RFP/RFI responses
Familiarity with SaaS platforms; experience with real-time video, physical security technology, VMS systems, CAD, or investigative workflows is a strong plus
Ability to operate effectively in long, ambiguous sales cycles with changing requirements and stakeholders
Willingness to travel 50–75% as part of supporting Majors accounts

Deliver a mock demo focused on value storytelling and outcomes
Lead technical discovery sessions with customer and AE support
Deliver tailored demos aligned to customer success metrics
Design deployment approaches that integrate with customer workflows
Support active Majors deals through SOW, POC, or technical validation steps
Independently lead end-to-end presales engagements for assigned Majors accounts
Operate as a strategic advisor to executive and technical stakeholders
Influence deal outcomes through strong value narratives and technical credibility
Contribute to solution playbooks and best practices to help scale the Majors motion
In this role, you’ll receive a total compensation of $234,000 OTE, along with Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education or training, and market data. Your recruiter will discuss compensation in detail during your first conversation.
