The Client Solutions Consultant acts as a trusted subject matter expert to the Vestmark Sales organization and its prospective clients. This role is responsible for translating client business needs into tailored solutions that showcase the power and flexibility of the Vestmark Suite of Products. Blending technical acumen with client-facing expertise, the Client Solutions Consultant supports the full sales lifecycle — from demo delivery and validation to discovery and solution design— ensuring each client’s unique challenges are addressed with precision and clarity.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Sales Engineer or Financial Services professional – specifically in the managed accounts realm – with strong consultative selling skills, a deep understanding of financial technology, and a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Delivery teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Sales Engineering Support
- Serve as the technical point of contact for prospective clients throughout the sales cycle.
- Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions to understand client business workflows, data structures, and pain points.
- Design and articulate tailored solutions using Vestmark’s suite of offerings to address client-specific challenges.
- Translate product capabilities into client-relevant value propositions.
- Respond to RFPs and RFIs in collaboration with Sales and Product Management teams.
- Create high-quality Solution presentations and supporting documentation.
Product Demonstrations & Proofs of Concept
- Develop and deliver customized, scenario-driven product demonstrations to illustrate key features and capabilities.
- Adjust demos and presentations based on audience — from functional users to C-level stakeholders.
Sales Support & Enablement
- Act as a bridge between Sales and Product/Engineering teams to relay client feedback and inform product strategy.
- Stay current on Vestmark’s latest product releases and roadmap and effectively communicate upcoming enhancements to prospects and clients.
Post-Sale Transition
- Collaborate with Implementation and Client Delivery teams to ensure smooth handoff of implementation details after contract execution.
- Contribute to knowledge transfer documentation and kickoff materials.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in refining pre-sales processes, tools, and documentation to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Help build reusable demo environments, templates, and documentation for common client use cases.
- Contribute to training materials and onboarding programs for new team members.
PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- 5–10 years of industry experience, preferably in financial technology or wealth management solutions.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or pre-sales role.
- Familiarity with managed accounts, portfolio management systems, and the broader investment advisory space.
- Deep understanding of Vestmark’s technology and advisory solutions functionality or similar technologies.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into business-relevant language.
- Experience with API integrations, data mapping, and workflow design is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.
