Job DescriptionRole Title: Solutions Architect, Customer Solution ArchitectureRole OverviewThe Solutions Architect, Customer Solution Architecture is responsible for shaping and delivering Bose technology solutions that meet customer needs while maximizing the use of existing Bose IP, software assets, and system capabilities. As part of a team, this role independently manages assigned customer opportunities while collaborating with their leadership on strategic or high-complexity engagements. The role bridges Business Development, Product Management, and Engineering to ensure customer-facing implementations align with Bose's licensing strategy and product roadmap.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement & Solution Design- Serve as the technical lead during pre-sales and early project phases for assigned accounts, partnering with Business Development to define the customer opportunity.
- Translate customer requirements into clear, feasible, and scalable solution architectures.
- Conduct discovery sessions and own the Discovery Brief for assigned opportunities to document technical needs, constraints, and recommended Bose offerings.
- Present technical architectures, trade-offs, and deployment considerations to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Bring Product Management into customer-facing conversations when:
Deep product expertise is needed.
Product Management might learn from a customer engagement to inform product or portfolio planning.
- Escalate complex opportunities or ambiguous requirements to the Lead for guidance.
- Maximize reuse of existing Bose technologies and solutions; recommend custom development only when justified by revenue, reuse, or strategic learning.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management to:
- Provide structured feedback from customer engagements.
- Surface emerging trends, unmet needs, or opportunities for scalable solutions.
- Influence long-term product planning and backlog prioritization.
- Act as a connector between Business Development, Product Management, and Engineering for assigned opportunities:
- Work with Business Development to frame customer opportunities and value propositions.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to vet feasibility and ensure alignment with licensing assets.
- Transition ownership to Engineering and Program Management for delivery after solution approval.
- Ensure all proposed solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, and operationally executable.
- Solid Line: Lead, Customer Solution Architecture
- Dotted Line: Business Development
- Partners: Engineering Leads, Program Management, Product Managers, Business Development Leads, Legal, Marketing
- Solid technical understanding of Bose audio technologies, including DSP, ANC, spatial audio, embedded systems, and tuning tools.
- Experience crafting technical solutions in B2B licensing, OEM integrations, or technology partnerships.
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into customer-ready architectures.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for interfacing with customers, executives, and engineers.
- 5–7 years in solution architecture, technical sales engineering, or audio product-focused roles.
