Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a a highly skilled Solution Architect to lead the technical design development and Qualifying GE Vernova’s cutting-edge suite of software-defined solutions GridBeats. The candidate will be offering integrated multiple solutions and technologies to deliver differentiated, value-based solutions that address evolving customer and grid needs. This role will also play a critical part in technical positioning, pre-sales qualification, and cross-functional enablement.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions using key offerings – including Zonal Autonomous Control, Distribution Automation, Integrated Digital Process Bus Substations, EnergyAPM, Device Management, Cyber security, Top-Down Engineering Solutions.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Solution Architecture Development:
    • Design comprehensive scalable, and interoperable solutions to meet customer needs, including integrated digital substations, centralized and distributed architecture incorporating hardware, software, and communication interfaces.
    • Design & Ensure solutions are cyber-resilience, customer compliant, and budget optimized.
    • Develop, standardized and maintain solution blueprints and architectures.
  • Solution Differentiation & Value Creation
    • Create solution’s differentiators aligned with market and addressing customer pain points.
    • Demonstrate value propositions through technical performance, total cost of ownership (TCO), and system-wide benefits.
    • Lead proof-of-concept (PoC), Demos, Workshops and pilot project initiatives to showcase solution feasibility and benefits.
  • Pre-Sales, Proposal & Customer Engagement:
    • Lead and support SPEC-In activities with technical specifications write up/guides to position GE Vernova solutions in customer tenders and technical specifications.
    • Support the sales function through reviewing RFQ, Writing and review technical proposals, including value proposition, architecture, and division of responsibilities.
    • Qualify the assigned opportunities with end users and actively contribute to pursuit the strategy.
    • Cultivate strong customer relationships and stay ahead of emerging growth opportunities across relevant market segments
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement
    • Lead or participate in customer workshops, solution co-creation sessions, and deep-dive technical discussions.
    • Conduct internal and external technical trainings to upskill sales teams, partners, and end-users on solution capabilities.
    • Support marketing, bid, and tendering teams with accurate technical inputs, diagrams, and narratives.
    • Participate and Lead New Product Improvement process, strategy and roadmaps

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and/or Communications or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in utility grid operations, Substation Automation, smart grid technologies, or related domains.
  • Strong background as a Solution Architect or Application Engineer for large-scale grid modernization projects.
  • Deep understanding of digital substations, IEC standards & protocols, transmission & Distribution automation segment & solutions, Virtualization and predictive analytics.
  • Knowledge and expertise in power management systems, load shedding / islanding schemes, distribution automation, microgrids and special protection schemes and/or remedial action schemes for grids and plants

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with GE Vernova, Grid Solutions, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based solutions, digital twins, and edge computing is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. GIAC, ISA/IEC 62443/27001) and understanding of Security Framework and standards (NIST, NERC-CIP, NESA, IEC 62351).
  • Understand the latest solution trends for energy transition including wide area monitoring, Centralized / Virtualized Protection & Control solution, Solution Virtualization, Security landscape
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in Integrated Digital Substation, SCADA, IEC 61850, Cyber Security and software-defined tool suite to continuously improve solution offerings.
