Job Description:The world of IT is amid a critical shift toward modern, efficient infrastructure. VMware by Broadcom is driving record growth across its Virtual Cloud Foundation (VCF) and Application Networking portfolios by enabling customers to achieve successful Private Cloud Modernization. No matter what project the customer is working on, be it modernizing their data center or optimizing application delivery, the need for robust, scalable Application Delivery and Load Balancing solutions is critical. To meet this demand, the Application Networking Business Unit is actively expanding its team!This position is an opportunity to join our dynamic Pre-Sales Engineering / Solutions Architecture team, focusing on Americas Public Sector.
In this role, you own the strategy and execution of Application Delivery and Load Balancing across your target accounts. This allows you to engage in both infrastructure modernization and application modernization conversations, ensuring that application services are deployed with optimal performance and availability in mind.
What has sparked customer interest in our portfolio is the simple way to create infrastructure with VCF and an elegant, integrated approach to deploying application services. You will be leveraging technology that delivers advanced Load Balancing and Application Delivery Controller (ADC) capabilities for VMs, Containers, and Baremetal workloads.Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas
As a trusted technical advisor and Solutions Architect, you will:
- Strategic Alignment: Map Customer’s Application Delivery and Load Balancing business initiatives to Application Networking solutions and strategy.
- Executive Engagement: Present to customers and establish strategic relationships with Customer Executives and BU leadership.
- Technical Leadership: Provide expert technical pre-sales support for opportunities involving our Application Networking and Delivery portfolio.
- Solution Validation: Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) exercises in customer labs to validate advanced Load Balancing and ADC solutions.
- Knowledge Dissemination: Lead technical pre-sales community discussions and facilitate knowledge dissemination to the VMware and Partner Subject Matter Experts regarding Application Networking products in conjunction with Cloud solutions and architectures.
- Content Development: Document best practices & architectural references in developing and deploying our Application Delivery portfolio.
- Product Feedback: Work collaboratively with Product Management, Technical Marketing, and Engineering during the development, launch, and continuing refinement of Application Networking and Delivery products.
- Market Intelligence: Maintain deep technical knowledge of Cloud solutions, industry directions, and trends, including peer and competitor products.

Required Experience & Expertise
- Application Delivery Controller (ADC) and Load Balancing Expertise (CRITICAL):
- 10+ years of experience in technology related areas, including enterprise systems management and infrastructure (datacenter) architecture.
- Significant depth around designing, implementing, and managing critical business infrastructure.
- Demonstrated, expert-level technical knowledge in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting modern Layer 4/Layer 7 Load Balancing solutions and Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs).
- VMware Portfolio: Must have a working knowledge of the core VMware portfolio, particularly VCF and networking solutions.
- IT Automation: Have experience with IT automation, operations, and orchestration tools.
- Agile Experience (Preferred): Experience supporting large customers and/or teams practicing agile and continuous delivery is preferred.
- Travel: Willingness to travel, as needed, though not likely to exceed 50%.
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field, or equivalent experience.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $88,300 - $141,300
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
