Who is Flock?

Flock Safety is the leading safety technology platform, helping communities thrive by taking a proactive approach to crime prevention and security. Our hardware and software suite connects cities, law enforcement, businesses, schools, and neighborhoods in a nationwide public-private safety network. Trusted by over 5,000 communities, 4,500 law enforcement agencies, and 1,000 businesses, Flock delivers real-time intelligence while prioritizing privacy and responsible innovation.

We’re a high-performance, low-ego team driven by urgency, collaboration, and bold thinking. Working at Flock means tackling big challenges, moving fast, and continuously improving. It’s intense but deeply rewarding for those who want to make an impact.

With nearly $700M in venture funding and a $7.5B valuation, we’re scaling intentionally and seeking top talent to help build the impossible. If you value teamwork, ownership, and solving tough problems, Flock could be the place for you.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Solution Deployment Engineer to join our high-performing presales deployment team. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of customer deployments — solving complex technical problems, ensuring seamless implementations, and setting the standard for quality and expertise in the field.

You’ll own customer engagements end-to-end, working closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to deliver technical solutions that directly support our mission. If you thrive on rolling up your sleeves, building scalable solutions, and working directly with customers, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Execute technical solution design and deployment for key customer engagements across the U.S.

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring deployments align with customer needs and product capabilities.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges in real time.

  • Contribute to team knowledge by documenting best practices and sharing lessons learned.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to support customer goals.

  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of Flock Safety’s products and competitive solutions.

  • Represent the company at customer meetings, field visits, and industry events.

  • Provide feedback to improve internal processes, tools, and deployment methodologies.

The Skillset

  • 2+ years of experience in technology presales, solution engineering, or deployment engineering (or equivalent).

  • Proven track record of hands-on technical delivery in customer-facing roles.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to stay calm under pressure.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.

  • Consultative by nature — you enjoy solving problems and building customer-focused solutions.

Feeling uneasy that you haven’t ticked every box? That’s okay; we’ve felt that way too. Studies have shown women and minorities are less likely to apply unless they meet all qualifications. We encourage you to break the status quo and apply to roles that would make you excited to come to work every day.
